NOTICE List of Documents required at the time of Admission (for UG Courses B.A./ Diploma (Sangeet Shiromani & Two Year Diploma Course in Harmonium) of Department of Music, University of Delhi: The applicants shall be required to produce the following documents in original with two sets of self-attested photocopies at the time of admission: 1. Class X Board Examination Certificate 2. Class X Mark-Sheet 3. Class XII Mark-Sheet 4. Class XII Provisional Certificate / Original Certificate 5. A CBSE/ICSE or any other equivalent examination passed certificate in Music as one of the subjects at the last qualifying Examination (12 th Class) or a certificate of Learnt Music (Vocal or Instrumental, according to the course student applying for) for not less than three years from a well-known teacher/guru. Such candidates will be required to submit a certificate issued by the institution/teacher/guru, as the case may be to this effect. 6. Recent Character Certificate (not more than 6 months old). 7. SC/ST/PwD/CW/KM Certificate (in the name of the Applicant) issued by the competent authority. 8. OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) Certificate (in the name of the Applicant) as in central list. 9. Transfer Certificate from school / college as well as Migration Certificate from Board / University is also required from those students who have passed senior secondary exam. from outside Delhi. 10. At least two-passport size self-attested photographs. 11. Aadhaar card no. along-with a photocopy of Aadhaar card is a must. Additional requirement - Only for Sangeet Shiromani Diploma Course and Two year Diploma Course in Harmonium: A crossed Bank Draft of Rs. 300/- for General (UR)/Other Backward Class (OBC) and Rs. 150/- for SC/ST/PWD candidates, for each Course separately. ELIGIBILITY CONDITIONS AND COURSE REQUIREMENT FOR ADMISSON TO 1) Eligibility Criteria Sangeet Shiromani Diploma Course (Semester Mode) - Hindustani Music (Vocal/Instrumental-Sitar/ Sarod/ Guitar/ Violin/ Santoor) and Sangeet Shiromani Diploma Course (Semester Mode) Karnatak Music (Vocal/Instrumental-Veena/ Violin) A candidate seeking admission in the first year of the Sangeet Shiromani Diploma Course in Hindustani/Karnatak Music, besides having passed the 10+2 Examination of the Central Board of Secondary Education, New Delhi or its equivalent examination, must have undergone training in classical music, for three years from a recognised/ reputed music institution/guru (teacher). A certificate from the institution /Guru has to be essentially attached along with the application. The candidate will be required to appear for the Practical Entrance Test to be conducted by the Department of Music. 2) Method of Selection and Admission. Practical Entrance Test shall be conducted by the Department, as per the schedule of admissions to be announced by the department. A merit list, based strictly on the performance of the candidates and their aptitude in concerned subject candidates shall be prepared and notified on the Notice Board of the Department. Admissions will be done in order of merit, subject to the availability of seats. 3) The maximum number of Seats is 30* General (UR) 14 OBC (27%) 08 SC (15%) 05 ST (7.5%) 02 PWD-VH (3%) 01 *The reservation of seats will be done as per the University norms. 4.) The successful candidates of the Sangeet Shiromani Examination shall be classified as follows:- 1 st Division with distinction - 75% marks or above in aggregate 1 st Division - 60% marks in the aggregate or above but below 75% marks 2 nd Division - 50% marks in the aggregate or above but below 60% marks Pass - 40% marks in the aggregate, and 40% separately in both theory and practical. 5) *Fee Schedule: For 1st year For 2nd year 1.
