9 th May 2018 Principal Class Headline: Education Week is an opportunity for the school to showcase the work we are doing with our students, with the Performing Group and Choir presenting to the community. Our Open Day is on Tuesday 22 nd May, where we will be running an Open Morning and Open Evening for current and new families, with tours and special events. We welcome all children to come to school in the evening to share their learning and itime discoveries. Please find all information attached including Tour times. We are always continuing to improve and upkeep our beautiful grounds at RMPS. Our plan for 2018-2019 is to install extra modern seating for students around the school and erect shade sails, providing protection for student on wet and warmer days. We also will be extending and improving the fence along the oval end of Birdwood St, which will assist with keeping our students safe as they play in those areas at recess and lunch times. We have fabulous parents groups at RMPS who are currently planning events to fundraise to update our facilities. The Parents and Friends Committee and the Fair team, are really committed to supporting these initiatives and are aiming to collectively raise over $60,000 and more, to support funding for these plans. Our upcoming Fair on 16 th March 2019, is our biggest community event at RMPS and the children s favourite!!! For the next 9 months we will be asking for contributions from the WHOLE community to make this the best fair ever. Please look out for announcements, flyers etc. and information about how you can support fundraising at RMPS this year and beyond. Amanda Wigg Principal
