BUS: 357, 405 & 430 stop outside the College. CAR: The College is easily accessed from the M25 and M23. Parking is available during the day on our South campus accessible via Claremont Road. During the evenings and weekends parking is available at the North campus, the entrance to which can be found on London Road (RH1 2JX). How to enrol for your course When you have found a course you'd like to enrol on, there are several ways to sign up... ONLINE Leisure courses: Enrol and pay online at www.esc.ac.uk for all leisure and non-qualification courses. Qualification courses: You can apply online for Part-time qualifications marked and a member of our Client Services team will contact you to arrange an interview to complete your application. IN PERSON Come in to College and speak to the Client Services team during opening hours or visit our Late Enrolment Event to enrol or apply see page 6 for details. BY TELEPHONE Call 01737 788444 and a member of our Client Services team will assist you. They can also give you more course information, advice and guidance. Fees and Funding NEW FOR 2018/19 Are you working full-time and earn less than 15,726.50 per year? You may qualify for FREE tuition, call Client Services on 01737 788444 for more information. QUALIFICATION COURSES FULL FEE The full published fee will apply if you are aged 19+ and have been 'ordinarily' resident in the UK or European Economic Area (EEA) for at least 3 years prior to the start of the course, unless you qualify for a concessionary fee (see below). If the 'ordinarily' resident criterion does not apply, you may need to pay additional fees. QUALIFICATION COURSES CONCESSIONARY FEE Concessionary fees or FREE tuition may apply if you are aged 19+ and satisfy one (or more) of the criteria below: In receipt of Job Seekers Allowance (JSA), including those with NI credits only and enrolling on a course to gain skills for employment In receipt of Employment and Support Allowance and are in the Work Related Activity Group (ESA WRAG) and enrolling on a course to gain skills for employment Unemployed and able to provide current documentary evidence of a means-tested benefit and you are undertaking skills training that will help get you into work Aged 19-23, studying or working towards your first full Level 2 qualification Aged 19-23, studying your first full Level 3 qualification In receipt of Universal Credit and mandated to undertake skills training LEISURE COURSES FULL FEE These courses are primarily for 19+ adults. The full published fee will apply if you are aged 19+, unless you qualify for a concessionary fee. If the 'ordinarily' resident criterion does not apply to you, additional fees may apply. ADVANCED LEARNER LOANS Financial support may be available from the Government if you are aged 19+ to help with the cost of studying a full Level 3 course or above. The minimum loan amount is 300. You won t pay anything back until you complete your course and your income is over 25,000 per year. LEISURE COURSES FREE TUITION FREE tuition will apply if you are aged 19+, are in receipt of a means-tested benefit and are taking your first leisure course in the current academic year. PAYMENTS FOR ALL COURSES Please note that to qualify for a concessionary fee, suitable evidence must be supplied when you enrol. For those with learning difficulties or disabilities we will need to see a copy of your EHCP. For JSA, ESA, Universal Credit or other means-tested benefits, evidence must be supplied as an official letter (eg from a Government department), dated not more than 3 months prior to enrolment, as well as your National Insurance number. Unless documentary evidence is supplied when you enrol, we will not be able to give you a fee concession. MATERIAL FEES Depending on the course you apply for, you may be asked to contribute towards materials that you take away with you eg cooking ingredients or flowers on a floristry course. You will be advised of any costs when you enrol as concession fees do not cover material fees. REFUNDS You will not normally be entitled to a refund unless your course is cancelled by the College. If in exceptional circumstances a written request for a refund is agreed, an administration fee of 30 will be applied, please refer to the Refund Policy at www.esc.ac.uk/ fees-and-funding. East Surrey College will abide by the Terms and Conditions of the Consumer Contracts Regulations. CANCELLATIONS We may have to cancel sessions of courses in circumstances beyond our control, such as power failure, extreme weather or sudden staff sickness. The fee you pay is for the whole course, not a set number of weeks and hours. Facilities Terms & Conditions LEARNING RESOURCE CENTRE (LRC) The LRC is a focal point at East Surrey College, located at Gatton Point and available to all our students. It is equipped with the latest audio-visual resources available for reference, along with thousands of books and magazines. Students are able to access ezone, the internet and online learning resources. You ll find quiet study and group work spaces to ensure that you are able to complete all your work without interruptions. PARKING Car parking at the main East Surrey College site at Gatton Point is very limited during the day. However, car parking is available in the evenings from 17:00 and all day at weekends. If your course is held during the day you can park in the Gatton Point South car park. Parking is subject to availability and may be suspended at any time. East Surrey College does not accept liability for any accident or damage that occurs in the College car parks. We also provide dedicated disabled parking bays and electric car points in the main car park. CHILDREN We do not admit children under 16 to classes, except where a course is specifically provided for them. NO SMOKING POLICY Smoking (including electronic cigarettes and vapes) is not permitted on any College site including the car parks. COURSE CANCELLATION Courses quoted are based on a minimum number of students enrolled, if this number is not achieved it may be necessary to cancel the course before the first class and provide students with a full refund.
