What is the MPI Meeting Essentials Program? MPI s Meeting Essentials is a certificate program offered to both novice and mid-level meeting and event professionals that want to enhance their skills and competencies. Participating students will be taught by subject-matter experts with curriculum underwritten by Leeds Beckett University. Meeting Essentials I and II are the two training courses that make up the Meeting Essentials Program. The courses are geared towards length of time in the industry and both courses are aligned with the MBECS (Meeting and Business Events Competency Standards). They also build a foundation of knowledge in preparation for the CMP exam, the gold standard among meeting professionals.
