DISCOUNTED FEE PAYING AGREEMENTS ALTERNATIVE TO PRIVATE AGENTS Discounted fee paying agreements: Unlike if you choose to study abroad as a Freemover through a private agent, students applying for a fee paying exchange position through Aarhus BSS will get a discount on tuition fees (10 to 15%) and are also eligible for the Aarhus BSS Travel Grant.

SPECIAL INFORMATION FOR: CAND.MERC.JUR STUDENTS 30 ECTS electives during study abroad: 10 ECTS Law + 10 ECTS Business + 10 ECTS Law or Business Apply for either: 1) Law agreements: 20+ ECTS credits within law 2) Business agreements: 20+ ECTS within business + maybe 10 ECTS credits within law You cannot apply for both law agreements and business agreements. If you combine universities you will be allocated a position based on the type of agreement (law or business), you have chosen as your first priority. BAMMC-STUDENTS INTENDING TO APPLY FOR ADMISSION TO CAND.MERC In addition to the mandatory courses, which are part of your bachelor s degree programme, you must also pass 30 ECTS within specific subject areas. It is not possible to have courses taken abroad pre-approved for admission to Cand.merc. programmes. Students should contact the student counsellors for further information about admission to Cand.merc. programmes.

AU GO APPLICATION ATTACHMENTS All attachments must be uploaded as a single PDF-file: Course Selection Form(s): Each priority needs a course selection form (available at the Study Portal). Transcript of Records: Only relevant if you haven t received any grades from Aarhus University (e.g International Master Students) Joint application form: Only relevant if you and a fellow student wish to study abroad at the same destination allocation is based on the lowest GPA (form available on study portal)

COURSE SELECTION FORM This is NOT an application for pre-approval of courses! Do not submit course descriptions. This is to ensure that you only apply to institutions that offer courses which are relevant to your study programme. Students who can find already pre-approved courses for their study programme in AU GO are welcome to list these courses in the form. No guarantee that previously approved courses will be offered/approved again!

SPECIFICALLY FOR BAC.OECON Oecon bachelor students applying for exchange during their Master s degree will not be able to choose universities in the AU GO online application form (due to technical issues). Instead students must: 1) Choose Exchange University Master Oecon as the only priority in the application form 2) Upload a list of priorities. Please see available positions on your Study portal > Study Abroad > Destinations > Available positions.

ALLOCATION BY AU / AARHUS BSS Criteria of Allocation: Allocation is based on your GPA Your GPA is: All your grades awarded by AU Specific GPA requirements by the host university, if any, are listed in AU GO Quick facts about GPA/priorities Changes from year to year (a lot!) May be very high at the most popular destinations, but even students with 2.0 can get an exchange position 385 students were allocated an exchange position in 2017 97% of students were given a Top 10 priority 80 % of students were given a Top 3 priority Average GPA 2017: 6.7 General advice: Apply for 5 to10 different universities

AFTER ALLOCATION After Allocation You cannot be allocated a new exchange position You cannot swap your exchange position with your friend 2nd allocation: For those of you who did not receive a position or forgot to apply Beginning of February First-come first- served

STEP 2: APPLICATION TO HOST UNIVERSITY You will be informed about the application procedure to the host university by email from Aarhus BSS or directly from your host university. Attachments: Follow the instructions in the email and check your study portal:

You receive information about the application procdure to the host university 5. You apply for admission (including visa/residence permit if relevant and housing) 6. When you return: Complete evaluation + Apply for credit transfer + Apply for BSS Travel Grant
