Refund Through Representatives For students who enroll at ELC through a representative refunds are made to the student by that representative. Pre-Arrival Refund Policy (Excluding Accommodations) For any cancellation ELC receives by the first day of the program, most fees are fully refundable. The exceptions are: The $150 application fee and the express mail fee of $75 are nonrefundable. Airport transfers are refundable with cancellation at least one business day before the service date requested. If a student s request for a visa is rejected a refund will be made in full for all program fees. Post-Arrival Refund Policy on Tuition For any course cancellation ELC receives on or after the first day of classes for a course of four s or less, no refund will be issued. For any course cancellation ELC receives on or after the first day of classes for a course of five s or more, ELC will issue a refund according to the following scale: There will be no refund issued for the first four s of the course. For cancellation requests received in writing up to the mid-point of the course, there will be a pro rata refund of tuition, minus any nonrefundable charges. There will be no refund issued for requests for cancellation made after the mid-point of the course (includes scheduled vacations). ELC reserves the right to expel any student, without refund, whose conduct is not in compliance with government rules or laws and/or regulations of ELC. All refunds will be issued at the ly rate which will be calculated based on the total number of s completed. Junior Program Refund Policy For cancellations received within four s of booking and prior to May 1, a 75% refund will be given. For cancellations received between May 1 and May 31, a 50% refund will be given. For cancellations received on or after June 1, no refund will be given. Refund Policy on Accommodations For any accommodation cancellation, ELC will issue a full refund of accommodation fees with at least four full s advance notice of cancellation. Please note the exceptions: For any accommodation cancellation with less than four s notice the first four s of the accommodation fees will be due. International Guest House, ESL Townhouse, and dormitory accommodations, which have their own refund policies. Housing deposits are refundable only according to the conditions listed in the following section: ESL Townhouse ESL Townhouse Pre-Arrival Cancellation Policy: Move-in fee is charged with less than 30 days notice of cancellation. No ly fees are due with at least 15 days notice of cancellation. With less than 15 days notice, the first two s are charged. ESL Townhouse Post-Arrival Cancellation Policy: Move-in Fee is nonrefundable. Reservations of one to four s: No refunds are possible. Reservations of five s or longer: Refunds are possible with four s advance notice from the Saturday after notice is given in writing. International Guest House In order to confirm International Guest House accommodations, a housing deposit of the first two s must be prepaid. A full refund will be given if the cancellation is received more than 14 days prior to arrival. Wheelock College & UCSB dormitories In order to confirm dormitory accommodation, all dormitory fees must be prepaid. A refund of 50% will be given for dormitory accommodations if cancellation is received prior to June 1. After June 1, no refund will be given. Los Angeles Apartments & La Brezza Apartments In order to confirm the Los Angeles Apartments & La Brezza Apartments, a housing deposit of the first two s must be prepaid.
