Teacher Training Courses
Welcome to ISIS Tefl 2 We have organised teacher training courses for over ten years and our passion is for helping English language teachers from all over the world increase their knowledge and abilities. Our programmes are built on three guiding principles - Reflection, Development and Application. Teachers training with us always have the opportunity to reflect on their own practice and share that knowledge, develop their own understanding by finding out about new ideas and new ways of solving problems, and discover how to practically apply these concepts within a classroom setting. We just love providing teachers from overseas with the opportunity to visit Britain, meet native-speakers and absorb the academic, social and cultural influences which make it such a unique country. The modern teacher needs up-to-date skills to meet the needs of people learning the international language of commerce, tourism and culture that is English. We are proud to be part of that process

Accredited Courses 7 ISIS has over ten years experience in successfully delivering Trinity College accredited courses. These include the Trinity Certificate (CertTESOL) and Diploma (DipTESOL) in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages. Trinity CertTESOL The Trinity Cert TESOL certificate is an initial qualification in the Teaching of English to Speakers of Other Languages. It is accredited at Level 5 on the National Qualifications Framework, and respected and recognised by language schools around the world. Trinity DipTESOL The Trinity Diploma in TESOL is a course for experienced EFL teachers who are seeking a qualification that will give them the professional expertise and knowledge to further their career in the EFL / ESOL industry; typically required for senior positions such as DOS, Teacher Trainer etc. It is not essential to be a native English speaker, have knowledge of a foreign language, or have any prior teaching experience. Course participants must have the skills to fluently and accurately communicate in spoken and written English. Nonnative speakers require an IELTS score of 7.0 in each of the four skills, or equivalent. The course is run on either a full-time (every weekday for four weeks) or part-time (two evenings per week for 13 weeks) basis, and consists of several different components, which include 120 hours of training time with a course tutor. All candidates for the DipTESOL must have completed an initial teacher training course validated by Trinity College London. In addition, they must have a first degree or equivalent, a minimum of two years recent full-time ESOL teaching experience, and an ability to speak and write English appropriate for a teacher of English at advanced levels. The DipTESOL is accredited as a Level 7 qualification on the UK National Qualifications Framework. It is one of the two qualifications recognised on a world-wide basis by both employers and academic institutions. The Diploma course at ISIS is divided into four distinct components which are generally completed over a 10 month period.
