- Applicants intending to apply for first year pathway to MBCHB should start in Semester One only. Applicants must apply for the BHSc OR BSC (Biomedical Science) to start in Semester 1 only. Admission to the BSc (Biomedical Science) in Semester 2 is subject to places being available and applicants will not be eligible to apply for the MBChB programme. - There is no direct entry to MBChB, BOptom and BPharm. Applicants for the MBChB must first complete Year 1 of either the BHSc or the BSc in Biomedical Science, or have completed another degree approved by the Faculty of Medical and Health Sciences. Applicants for the BOptom must complete at least one year of study as part of the University's Bachelor of Science (Biomedical Science), the prescribed core courses, or have completed another degree approved by the Faculty of Medical and Health Sciences. Applicants for the BPharm must complete an appropriate first year programme the prescribed BPharm Part one courses (or equivalent) in either the Bachelor of Health Sciences (BHSc) or the Bachelor of Science (BSc) at the University of Auckland, or have completed another degree approved by the Faculty of Medical and Health Sciences. - An audition portfolio can include evaluations of one or more recorded and/or live performance elements www.creative.auckland.ac.nz/apply-music * - The Faculty of Engineering will give consideration to students who missed out on admission to BE(Hons) who are able to demonstrate sufficient ability in engineering-related and approved study, in the BSc programme for admission in Semester 2. Admission into Semester 2 is by selection subject to availability. 1 - Aggregate of four subjects (unless specified) excluding ACG Minimum English language score of IELTS overall 6.0 with no bands below 5.5, or English minimum grade B is required. English minimum score of B does not apply to programmes which require an IELTS score of overall 6.5 or above. 2 Aggregate of four subjects excluding AFY Minimum English language score of IELTS overall 6.0 with no bands below 5.5, or English minimum score of 70%. Some degrees may require higher scores (see English Language requirement for individual programmes). English minimum score of 70% does not apply to programmes which require an IELTS score of overall 6.5 or above. 3 Cambridge International Examinations (CIE) AS and A Level taken from any school within New Zealand or overseas. Please see the University s Entry Requirements website for more information regarding the general University entry requirements, specific programme and subject requirements ( Table A and B requirements). 4 - Aggregate of best four academic subjects ( English). No subject should be below 50%. 5 - This covers GCE and Singapore-Cambridge GCE Advanced Level Edexcel, AQA, OCR, CCEA, WJEC, and the Singapore Examinations and Assessment Board (SEAB). Scores are calculated on the best three academic subjects. General Studies cannot be included. Only H2 Level academic subjects are considered for GCE A Level taken in Singapore. 6 - Each applicant must present at least 3 subjects achieved at Level 4 or better, English Language and 2 Elective subjects. The scores are calculated as an aggregate of the best five scores from Category A subjects. Where the subject level of 1 is equal to 1 point up to 5 points for the level of 5, and 6 for 5* and 5**. If extended is taken with Core, the scores may be combined and averaged as one score. 7 For IB students, study of an additional language is encouraged. 8 All applicants must achieve an overall average of 75% with a minimum of 70% in The scores are calculated on the best four academic subjects excluding local languages and non-academic subjects. 9 Completion of a Canadian Secondary School Diploma is required. All applicants must achieve an overall average score (listed in the above table) based on their academic Year 12 courses. For the Ontario Secondary School Diploma this is the best six Grade 12 University Preparation (4U), College Preparation (4C), or University/College Preparation (4M) courses grade 12 English U. For all other provinces High School Diploma qualifications (excluding Quebec) this is the best five academic Grade 12 courses Grade 12 An English requirement must be met through attainment of a minimum of 50% in an English-intensive Year 12 course ( Studies, English Language, English Literature, History of Art, Geography) will be required. 10 - The score is an aggregate of Evidence-Based Reading and Writing, Mathematic scores in the redesigned SAT Reasoning Test (available from March 2016) or the Critical Reading and sores in SAT Reasoning Tests taken prior to March 2016. To be considered for entry, applicants must submit a SAT result and a High School Diploma with transcripts from a United States regionally accredited high school with above average grades. 11 - American College Testing (ACT) is also acceptable and is assessed on a case-by-case basis. 12 - Scores are calculated on the best three academic subjects. General Studies cannot be included. 13 Scores are calculated as an aggregate of six scores where a grade of A1 is equal to 1 point up to 8 points for a grade of C8. 14 You must have completed a with Calculus course.
