Yet, few others have taken to improve quality of their programmes to stay up to date and thereby forerunner among colleges preparing to compete on ground of quality and relevance. Accreditation of engineering programmes is set of processes which are designed to ensure minimum level of quality of a programme. It is the recognition accorded to technical education programmes both at degree and diploma levels those meet the standards evolved by the National Board of Accreditation (NBA). NBA has evolved a systematic, logical and transparent process of accreditation for engineering programmes. The recent version for accreditation of technical programmes is released in Jan 2013 and then in December 2015 for undergraduate engineering programmes of affiliating institutes.
