1990 - No. 2 EXPLANATORY NOTE The object of this Regulation is to amend the Freedom of Information (General) Regulation 1989 so as: (a) to declare certain offices as principal offices for the purposes of the definition of "principal officer" in section 6 of the Freedom of Information Act 1989; and (b) to declare certain bodies to be public authorities pursuant to section 7 of that Act; and (c) to declare that specified bodies are not to be taken to be separate public authorities but are to be taken to be included in specified agencies for the purposes of that Act. 6
