St. Peter s staff has enjoyed the extra time with their families and are excited about starting the second half of our school year. There are many fun activities to look forward to in the upcoming year. Thank you to all of our parents that participated in the fall parent/ teacher conferences. I received so many overwhelming positive comments from our school families. It is very gratifying for our staff to know that their work is appreciated. Registration for the 2018 2019 school year will begin February 20th. Information regarding registration will be sent home the beginning of February. Please take advantage of this week to sign your children up for our next school year. Severe Weather This is just a reminder that in the event of severe weather (flood, ice, etc.) St. Peter s School follows Kerrville ISD school closings. If there is severe weather, please tune to the local radio stations and listen for information regarding KISD school closings. Whatever KISD does, St. Peter s School will follow (if they close schools, we will too. If they delay school opening, we will follow). Growing Foods Strong bodies for strong minds When it is your turn to send snacks... Please send nutritional snacks. Here are a few examples kids usually like: Cheese sticks, yogurt, apple sauce, carrots and dip, cheese and crackers, raisins and if you send fresh fruits... The teachers will be glad to cut it up. Note: No make up days Important Information Regarding Medications By law, if your child needs to take any medication, St. Peter s Episcopal School must abide by the following: Medications must: 1. Be in the original container; 2. Be labeled with the child s name; 3. Be labeled with the date (if prescription medicine); 4. Include directions to administer the medication; and complete and sign the School s medication form. 5. If prescribed, include the name of the physician prescribing the medication. Please do not bring a sick child to school. Children must be fever free for 24 hours in order to return to school. Regular hand washing keeps the germs away In addition, PLEASE DO NOT put medicine in backpacks or lunch boxes. Hand the medicine to the Early Bird teacher or child s teacher and SIGN the medication form. At the end of the day, please be sure to pick-up your child s medicine.
