Our students matter Feel safe and secure You can talk to our MSE staff, teachers, residential staff and activity leaders at any time about anything at all. Our staff are selected for their experience of working with young people and are here to make sure every single student feels safe and happy. Whenever the need arises, students can call our 24-hour emergency phone number. Residential on-site staff are available 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Make friends Connect with other junior students from all over the world and you will make amazing friends for life. You will also learn about different cultures at the same time as you practise your English with other students on the program. We have a buddy system for all juniors to make sure that you never feel as though you are on your own. The learning experience at Mayfair Our Junior programmes are carefully created by experienced course designers who have worked with young learners in a variety of settings. We understand their learning needs and also appreciate how success in English could be the key to their future academic and professional success. Placement test On arrival, students do a placement test to find out their language level. The test assesses language proficiency and ensures that each student is placed in a class with students of the same ability. Top teachers Our professional teachers are selected for their qualifications as well as their experience and interest in working with young learners. Skills for life English is taught through engaging and relevant real-world contexts where communication, problem solving, discovery and discussion take place in the target language. Beyond the classroom Learning continues beyond the classroom: activity programmes complement language lessons, providing opportunities to use language independently and naturally for real purposes. Security Wycombe Abbey School has 24-hour security in the form of a gated entrance, high walls surrounding the grounds and security cameras at all times. Welfare Our top priority is our students safety and well-being. Our very experienced welfare staff ensure that each and every student is comfortable, confident and happy for the duration of their stay. Each two-week programme includes fully supervised activities every afternoon and evening, plus one full-day excursions and one half-day excursion. Learning Our language programmes are designed to make learning dynamic and interactive. Using stimulating materials suited to young learners needs, lessons are designed to build confidence in communication. Students will use English in real situations when exploring new places and to meet new students from around the world. Programme Includes Accommodation Secure and comfortable accommodation in shared rooms (from 2 8 people per room) is available in a range of different houses. Boys and girls lodge in separate houses which each have their own TV or sitting room. Houses are fully supervised by a group leader or teacher at all times. Dining Students can enjoy informal dining in a modern setting. With a carefully planned menu of popular international dishes to choose from, students have plenty of choice and enjoy world food as part of their experience.
