Congratulations to all our students who have reached personal milestones this term. Thank you to all the parents and carers who attended interviews with our teachers this week which enables us to communicate student s achievements and how they can assist with their progress. The majority of our students have received their Bronze Awards and many will receive nomination for their Silver in Week 3 of next Term. We will have a very busy, exciting start to Term 3 with the Years 3 to 6 Athletics Carnivals, NAIDOC Day and our Education Week showcases all in the first 3 weeks. Student Safety Once again I would like to ask that parents do not park in the Staff car park. This is a very busy area in the afternoons. We now have transport vehicles that pick up children that need access. This is especially dangerous as there is only one access point and this feeds out onto the pedestrian crossing. Snake Trails Congratulations to our Snake Trails winners - 1S and 5T. The longest SNAKE in the school went to 5T with a length of 45.55m and 1S had a length of 32.95. Total in the K-2 classes was 159.75 metres and in 3-6 it was 267.33 metres giving us the longest snake in the world with a total of 427.08 metres.. but what does this total in dollar value? Thank you mathematician Rohnan Kelly from 2Q for providing the facts and figures. Noticeboard Parent Online Payments (POP) NOW LIVE It will be possible for parents to make online payments to the school for amounts owing for students, via a secure payment page hosted by Westpac. Payments can be made using either a Visa or MasterCard credit or debit card. The payment page is accessed from the front page of the schools website www.werringcty-p.school.nsw.edu.au/ by selecting $ Make a payment. Items that can be paid include voluntary school contributions, subject contributions, excursions, sales to students and creative and practical arts activities (these include band, drama and dance). There is also a category called Other, this is to cover items not covered in the previous headings. Other can be used to make a complete payment of a school invoice. When you access the $ Make a payment you must enter: the students name, and class and reference number OR the students name, and date of birth. These details are entered each time you make a payment as student information is not held within the payment system. This is a secure payment system hosted by Westpac to ensure that your credit/debit card details are captured in a secure manner, these details are not passed back to the school. You have the ability to check and change any details of the payment before the payment is processed. Receipts can be emailed and/or printed. Details of the payments are passed daily to the school where they will be receipted against your child s account. As a receipt has been issued from the payment page a further receipt will not be issued by the school. For any enquiries regarding the Online Payment process please contact the School Office. This is an example of what a permission note may look like. Please note the arrow, your receipt number must be added when returning the note to the office to acknowledge your payment. Bronze Awards
