Bradford Baseball Attention Bradford Baseball Players: There will be a mandatory meeting on Monday, October 9th in the library for anyone interested in playing baseball for Bradford this year. The meeting will be at 5:30. Please bring a family member. Also, if you are a freshman that is interested in playing baseball, please stop by the field house to see Coach Menor or Room 128 to see Coach Read as soon as possible. Game Club returns to Bradford on Thursday, October 5th. We have console games, card games, and board games. You can even bring your own game to play. Bradford Game Club: Thursdays from 3:00 to 4:30 in Room 140. Combined Gymnastics News Any students interested in joining the Kenosha Combined Gymnastics team there will be a parent and athlete meeting on Monday, October 9th at 6 pm in room 1101 at Indian Trail. If you have any questions, please email Coach Olson at maolson@kusd.edu Gateway IMET Center Tour Would you like to see what a career would be like in welding, manufacturing, electronics or robotics? If so, get a permission slip from Mrs. Mars to go the Gateway IMET Center on October 17th to see and hear first-hand what these careers are like. Deadline is October 9th. InfraRed Open Are you going to the homecoming dance?! If so, don't forget to bring some money because InfraRed will have drinks and snacks for sale during the dance.

College Visit A college rep from Ball State will be visiting Bradford on Monday, October 9th at 1:30. Ball State, located in Indiana, is a Division I school and offers popular and nationally recognized programs like Architecture, Telecommunications. Nursing, Theatre, Dance, and Teaching. Papa John and David Letterman were graduates of BSU and they are the home of the world s 2nd largest virtual production studio. Students are admitted with an average GPA 3.5/4.0 with an ACT of a 22. If interested, see the bulletin board located outside of room 219 to sign up or see Mrs. Mars in room 218 for questions. Girls Basketball Meeting Attention anyone interested in playing girls basketball: There will be a mandatory meeting after school Tuesday October 10th in the cafeteria. If you cannot show up that day please see Mrs. Ferrille in room 126 to get the important information. PSAT Testing The PSAT test will be held at Bradford on Wednesday October 11th at 7:30a.m. Any sophomore or junior interested in taking the PSAT test should sign up in room 151 no later than Friday October 6th. Juniors who take the test may be eligible for National Merit Scholarship Corporation Programs. The cost is $15.00. Please see your counselor for more information. Interact/Rotary Club Ms. Detienne and Mr. Coey will be starting the Interact Rotary Club. In this organization students can get involved to help in the community when they are available. These hours can count towards your service hours or towards the National Honors society. We will have an informational meeting in room 204 on Tuesday, October 10 th for all students interested. If interested please attend.

Campus Life News Campus Life will be meeting on Tuesdays this year in room 104 during A lunch and room 226 during B lunch. Join us for the first meeting on Tuesday October 10th! U.S. Navy Visit Attention ALL Sophomores, Juniors, and Seniors... A U.S. Navy Representative will be here on Thursday October 12, during Quest, to talk about the various benefits the Navy has to offer, including $180,000 scholarship opportunities. If you want to learn more about what the U.S. Navy has to offer and want to attend this presentation, you can sign up with Mr. Saling in room 216. Free ACT Practice Testing Did you know that over 80% of high school students do not take the ACT test until they are required to in high school? Attention juniors and sophomores. Here is your opportunity to take the ACT practice test for free. This will take place on Friday, October 13, 2017 at Bradford. This is a professional learning day for teachers and as students you are off on that day. The junior session will run from 7:30-11:45, and the sophomore test will take place from 1:00 to 3:00. Please sign up in advance of the date in room 151. Free ASVAB Test Attention ALL Sophomores, Juniors, and Seniors. On the morning of Wednesday, October 18, the ASVAB test will be offered. This test is a fantastic tool to help students explore potential careers and is used as a military entrance exam. The ASVAB test is FREE to take and the best part of all is that this test HELPS PREPARE STUDENTS FOR TAKING THE ACT/SAT. If you would like to sign up to take the ASVAB, or have questions, please see Mr. Saling in room 216. Sport Talk Did you know? The Girls Varsity Volleyball Team played Indian Trail last night. The team won with a 5 set victory over Indian Trail. Thank you for making a difference staff and students with your amazing support! Congratulations Ladies!
