There were three key things I got out of studying actuarial studies at UNSW: Technical skills, from the degree itself; soft skills, through my extracurricular activities with the Actuarial Society of UNSW; and fun, by meeting new people and participating in uni life. As a result, I have been able to utilise this experience to secure a position at one of the premier global property consulting firms during my final year of study. CO-OP DEGREES 9 SECTION WORLD-CLASS SECTION EDUCATION SECTION Co-op scholarship programs, offered to domestic students only, have been established by UNSW and industry to provide financial support and industry training to high-achieving students. The programs combine the academic rigour of a degree with 18 months of industry experience with highly sought after sponsor organisations and a substantial tax-free scholarship paid on a per annum basis for the duration of the degree. There is also professional development and leadership training and mentoring from an academic co-ordinator.
