1 Introduction Multimedia Learning System (MMLS) is a web-based intelligent courseware delivery engine that utilizes multimedia to enhance the teaching and learning process engine, which supports multimedia learning materials. In an online multimedia learning environment, teaching and learning become a one-to-one process with interaction between the learner and the virtual teacher. Interactivity is the key to the success of multimedia education. Students can access the content anytime, anyplace through an internet connection. Database-web link allows authenticating students, providing interactive interface between students and the computer, recording and analyzing student s performance. 2 Getting Started To utilize features of the MMLS, students must have a valid Student ID and Password. The login page welcomes students and provides a login section to access the MMLS platform. Login Page By logging into the system, students will be able to view courses, obtain courses documents and much more in a secure environment. Find this page Follow the steps below to login into MMLS: Step 1 Enter the URL for the MMLS into your web browser. Step 2 Enter in your valid Student ID and Password. Step 3 Click the Login button and you will be lead to the MMLS main page. The table below shows the list of functions that are available to the students on the login page. To Login Click Login button after entering a valid Student ID and Password in their respective fields. 2 P a g e

3 Student Pages This page contains features that inform the student of any announcements or task relevant to the student, as well as the list of courses in which the student is enrolled in MMLS. After login in, student will be lead to the student main page: Quick Link This navigation is located at the top right of each screen. Area My Profile Registered Course List Search Courses Favorite Courses List Announcements Assignment Tutorial Quiz Notes Links Description View /Manage student personal data. List of the registered subject (s) for current semester. Search for courses in MMLS. List all the favorite courses added by student. Announcements post timely information critical to courses. Assignment of the selected subject/courses. Tutorial of the courses/subjects Quiz of the courses/subjects Notes posted by lecturer. Reference link. Link that related to the courses. My Profile The My Profile displays personal information about the student such as Name, student ID and Faculty. 4 P a g e

Registered Course List View the courses registered for the current semester. There are six (6) sub modules under Registered Course List. The list of functions and their uses available on registered courses list: Area Description Course Info View lecturer details profile. Assignment Submission View their assignment and submit assignment. Groups Discussion Board Fast Download View the assignment groups. Allow student and lecturer to communicate and discuss courses issue. Student able to download all or single attachment file sent by lecturer. Outcome Achievement Quiz View the learning outcome progress. fsdfsdf Course Info View lecturer details profile (Name, Faculty, Phone No and Email). Assignment Submission Students can view list of Assignment and also able to submit the assignment. Download the Assignment file by clicking on its link under Assignment File: Function Submit Assignment Choose File Description To submit the assignment. Choose the assignment file to submit. 7 P a g e

Cancel Save Cancel the activity and back to previous page. Submit the assignment file. Groups View the list of assignment group. Student able to view list of group and the member of each group. This group set up by lecturer. Function View Group Go Back Description Click to view the group and its member. Go back to the list of group page. 8 P a g e

Discussion Board Students can post discussion items and reply to other posts. This feature is similar to Chat, but is designed so that Students do not have to be online at the same time to communicate. Lecturers create forums on specific topics in the Discussion Board. Students may access forums by clicking on the appropriate link in the Discussion Board. The table below presents the functions available to students on the Discussion Board page. To View the topic Comment Reply the message Edit the message Click Click the discussion topic. The following page will appear. Click comment button to send message to the topic. Click Reply button. The following page will appear. Enter a message to the appropriate field and click Submit button to send the message Click Edit button. The following page will appear. Fast Download With the help of this feature, students are enabling to download the lecture notes and tutorials uploaded by their lecturer. To.. Download notes or tutorial Download All Click.. Click the selected file and download it. Click the link download all (below). Automatically will convert into zip file. 10 P a g e

Outcome Achievement To view the Learning Outcome (LO) progress. Easier for student to view and check their learning progress. To.. Progress Mapping Assessment Click.. Show the percentage of LO. Quiz Function This area will list the quizzes prepared for students by the lecturer. It will appear on the site with the date specified by the instructor. Students should watch for the deadlines. In this Quiz includes: - TEST: Test Description, Test Duration, Start Date/Time, End date/time, Attempts Allowed, No of attempt(s) and Status. - EXERCISE: Exercise Description, Exercise Duration, Start Date/Time, End date/time, Attempts Allowed, No of attempt(s) and Status. 13 P a g e

This table shows the list of functions in the Quiz page: Function Description Start New Test Submit Quiz To start new Quiz. Click to submit quiz. Search Courses Students are able to search for courses in MMLS according to Course Subject or Faculty. 14 P a g e

Find this page Follow the steps below to search for courses Step 1 Select the Campus, Cyberjaya, Melaka or Educity Step 2 Choose a Subject from the Subject drop-down list. Step 3 Choose a Faculty from the Faculty drop-down list. Step 4 Click the Search button. This will lead the student to the list of results shown below: Step 5 Click Add to add the favorite subject to Favorite Courses list. This table shows the list of functions in the Search for Courses result page: Function Add button. Drop button Description Add a course Remove a course from the Favorite the Courses list Favorite Courses List List all the favorite courses selected/add by student. Function Delete View Description Remove the favorite course from list. View course to see notes, tutorial or link. Announcements Students can view important messages from lecturers on the Announcements section. The Announcements section will show all the announcements for selected courses that the student chooses. The announcement is view for current week. Assignment Students can view files associated with an assignment in this tab. The assignment section will show all the assignment for selected courses that the student chooses. The assignment is view for current week. Each assignment has a title, description, attachment (if any), date of posting and name of person who posted the announcement. (Week 1, 2, 3 etc.) Tutorial This feature contents a list of instructions or tips for how to do any of a wide variety of tasks, assignments, etc. for particular course.
