Upon successful completion of the Advanced Practitioner Examination System of the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC), they become Registered Respiratory Therapists (RRT). ALL GRADUATES ARE REQUIRED TO COMPLETE THE RRT LEVEL CREDENTIAL IN DER TO BECOME LICENSED IN THE STATE OF CA AS OF JANUARY 1, 2015. 3.0 HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE TO COMPLETE THIS PROGRAM? 3.1 The Respiratory Therapist Program requires two years of study.
