Sl No Name of the Educational & Other Qualifications Post 1 Professor For GENERAL DISCIPLINES: EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS Essential for Medical Candidates (i) A recognized medical qualification included in the First or Second Schedule or Part-II of the Third Schedule to the Indian Medical Council, Act, 1956. (Holders of educational qualifications included in Part-II of the Third Schedule should also fulfill the conditions stipulated in section 13 (3) of the said Act, );and (ii) a post graduate qualification e.g. MD (Doctor of Medicine) or (MS)Master of Surgery or a recognized qualification equivalent thereto in the respective subject or allied discipline (iii) For Dentistry: A post graduate qualification i.e. Master of Dental Surgery (MDS) or a recognized qualification equivalent thereto in the respective subject or allied discipline. Essential for Non-Medical Candidates: (i) a postgraduate qualification i.e. Masters Degree in the concerned subject or allied discipline; and (ii) a Doctorate degree from a recognized University in the respective subject or allied discipline. Note: The respective subject or allied discipline should be as in the Table - I of Schedule I of the, Medical Council of India - Minimum Qualifications for Teachers in Medical Institutions Regulations, 1998. EXPERIENCE: a) Four years teaching experience as a Reader or Associate Professor in a recognized medical college in the concerned specialty Note 1: The transitory period of 4 years with effect from 24th July, 2009, the appointment or promotion to the post of Professor can be made by the institutes in accordance with the Medical Council Of India - Minimum Qualifications for Teachers in Medical Institutions Regulations, 1998 as prevailing before notification of Medical Council of India- Minimum Qualifications for Teachers in Medical Institutions (Amendment) Regulations, 2009. Note 2: The provision regarding 4 year transitory period (24th July 2009 to 23rd July 2013) as mentioned in the Note 1 above is no longer applicable. OR, b) Three years teaching experience as Associate Professor in the concerned specialty in a recognized medical college with minimum of four research publications in indexed or national journals provided that these research publications are published or accepted for publication in the Journals by the National Associations or Societies of the respective specialties as the First Author, and further provided that the requirement of four research publications for promotion to the post of Professor should be taken on cumulative basis with minimum of two research publications must be published during the tenure of the Associate Professor. Note 1: Qualifications with regard to experience are relaxable at the discretion of Selection Board in case of candidates

otherwise well qualified. Note 2: The qualifications regarding experience are relaxable at the discretion of the Selection Board in case of candidates belonging to the Scheduled Castes or Scheduled Tribes., and if at any stage of selection, the Selection Board is of the opinion that sufficient number of candidates from these communities possessing the requisite experience are not likely to be available to fill-up the vacancies reserved for them. Note 3: The experience should be recognized by the Medical Council of India or the statutory body concerned with the system of medicine as valid teaching experience for teaching posts and certificate thereof or any other valid proof in support thereof should be submitted and a certificate to this effect is to be submitted. Note 4: Teaching experience in any other post like the post of General Duty Medical Officer shall not be considered for eligibility purpose for recruitment to teaching posts. 2 Associate Professor For GENERAL DISCIPLINES: EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS Essential for Medical Candidates (i) A recognized medical qualification included in the First or Second Schedule or Part-II of the Third Schedule to the Indian Medical Council, Act, 1956. (Holders of educational qualifications included in Part-II of the Third Schedule should also fulfill the conditions stipulated in section 13 (3) of the said Act, ); and (ii) a post graduate qualification e.g MD (Doctor of Medicine )/ MS (Master of Surgery) or a recognized qualification equivalent thereto in the respective subject or allied discipline; (iii) For Dentistry: A post graduate qualification i.e. Master of Dental Surgery (MDS) or a recognized qualification equivalent thereto in the respective subject or allied discipline Essential for Non-Medical Candidates (i) A postgraduate qualification i.e. Masters Degree in the concerned subject or allied discipline; and (ii) A Doctorate degree from a recognized University in the respective subject or allied discipline. 3 Assistant Professor in indexed or national journals provided that these research publications are published or accepted for publication in the Journals by the National Associations or Societies of the respective specialties as the First Author, and further provided that the requirement of two research publications for promotion to the post of Associate Professor should be fulfilled with two research publications must be published during the tenure of the Assistant Professor. Note 1: Qualifications with regard to experience are relaxable at the discretion of Selection Board in case of candidates otherwise well qualified. Note 2: The qualifications regarding experience are relaxable at the discretion of the Selection Board in case of candidates belonging to the Scheduled Castes or Scheduled Tribes., and if at any stage of selection, the Selection Board is of the opinion that sufficient number of candidates from these communities possessing the requisite experience are not likely to be available to fill-up the vacancies reserved for them. Note 4:The experience should be recognized by the Medical Council of India or the statutory body concerned with the system of medicine as valid teaching experience for teaching posts and certificate thereof or any other valid proof in support thereof should be submitted and a certificate to this effect is to be submitted. Note: The respective subject or allied discipline should be as in the Table - I of Schedule I of the, Medical Council of India Minimum Qualifications for Teachers in Medical Institutions Regulations, 1998. EXPERIENCE: (a) For the candidates possessing doctor of Medicine(MD) / Master of Surgery (MS) from Medical Council of India recognized medical colleges: Three years teaching experience in the subject as Resident or Registrar or Demonstrator or Tutor in a recognized medical college either during the post-graduate course or after obtaining postgraduate degree in the subject. 3 years Junior Resident in a recognized medical college in the concerned subject and one year as Senior Resident in the concerned subject in a recognized medical college. (b) For the candidates possessing

Diplomat of National Board qualification(dnb) from Medical Council of India recognized medical colleges or central institutes where the no doctor of medicine(md) / master of surgery (MS) course running: (i) Three years teaching experience in the subject in a recognized medical college either during the Diplomat of National Board (DNB) course or after possessing Diplomat of National Board (DNB) qualification. (ii) The concerned candidate would also require one year of additional teaching or research experience in the concerned subject in a recognized medical college after obtaining Diplomat of National Board (DNB) qualification. (c) For candidates possessing Diplomat of National Board (DNB) qualification from Medical Council of India (MCI) recognized medical colleges or central institutes where there are doctor of medicine(md)/master of surgery(ms) course running: Three years teaching experience in the subject in a recognized medical college either during the Diplomat of National Board (DNB) course or after obtaining Diploma from national Board qualification. (d) for the candidates possessing diplomat of National Board(DNB) qualification from centers other than of Medical Council of India(MCI) recognized medical colleges or central institutes: (i) Three years teaching experience in the subject either during the Diplomat of National Board course or after possessing Diplomat of National Board qualification. (ii)the concerned candidate would require two years additional teaching experience as Senior resident or Research Associate(Council of Scientific and Industrial Research) in a Medical Council of India recognized medical college or central institute. (e) Research Experience: (i) For the candidates obtaining Diplomat of National Board (DNB) qualification from centers other than Medical Council of India recognized medical colleges or central institutes, the concerned candidate should have minimum two publications (accepted or published) in the index journal (National or International as first or second author). (ii) In case the concerned candidate does not have the required publication, he must have a total of three years teaching experience in a recognized college or central institute after possessing Diplomat of National Board (DNB) qualification. 4 Senior Residents Note : The qualifications regarding experience in respect of the Scheduled Castes and the Scheduled Tribes candidate are relaxable based on the guidelines issued by the Government of India from time to time. M.B.B.S with PG Degree or diploma in the concerned specialty from recognized university. The candidate should have valid MCI registration. 5 Junior Residents M.B.B.S from recognized university,should have registered with Medical Council of India. Those who have done 6 months junior residency need not apply. 6 Tutors M.B.B.S from recognized university,should have registered with Medical Council of India. Those who have done 6 months junior residency need not apply. B. 1)AGE LIMIT for Professors, Associate Professor & Assistant Professor: Not exceeding 69 years as on date of walk in interview for all posts.

2) AGE LIMIT for Senior Residents: The age shall not exceed 33 in case of Post Graduates and 35 years in case of post doctoral degree holders as on date of walk-in-interview i.e 22-12-2017 (age relaxation applicable as per Govt. of India Rules). 3) AGE LIMIT for Junior Residents & Tutors: The age shall not exceed 30 years of age as on 22/12/2017 and internship completion on or before 22/12/2017 (age relaxation applicable as per Govt. of India Rules). C. PAY & ALLOWANCES: 1. The retired Government Officers shall be paid emoluments in accordance with the rules in force as on date. 2. Other candidates appointed on contractual basis will be paid Pay at the initial stage i.e. initial Pay of the relevant Pay Band plus Grade pay and other allowances as per rules of the Corporation. 3. Pay as on date (Pay in Pay Band + Grade Pay + NPA @ 25% (as admissible) in different categories is as under: Post Professor Associate Professor Assistant Professor Pay (PB-4 + GP 8700/- + NPA) (PB-3 + GP 7600/- + NPA) (PB-3 + GP 6600/- + NPA) Senior Residents Junior Residents Tutors (PB-3 + GP 6600/- + NPA) (PB-3 + GP 5400/- + NPA) (PB-3 + GP 5400/- + NPA) 4. In addition to above, other allowances like D.A., HRA etc. would be payable as admissible. 5. No Private practice is allowed during the tenure of service in ESIC. 6. Retired candidates from Central/ State Govt. / PSU from the equivalent posts are eligible to apply. Persons working in recognized/ approved Private Medical Institutions fulfilling eligibility criteria for the post may also apply. 7. The candidates have to attach the self-attested copies of all the relevant certificates/ testimonials on support of date of birth, category, sub-category i.e. educational qualification, teaching experience, Pension Payment Order (PPO), etc. with the application form and have to produce originals thereof at the time of interview. D. TERMS OF CONTRACT: 1.Teaching Faculty ( Professors, Associate Professors & Assistant Professors):Total period of contract of teaching faculty for 03 years or attaining 70 years of age, whichever is earlier. The initial period of contract would be for 01 year, extendable every year up to a maximum of 03 years, subject to satisfactory performance. Barring unsatisfactory performance the incumbent would serve the initial first year of contract, independent of regular faculty joining during this period. However, the contract would be terminable on one month notice, on joining of regular faculty in the 2 nd / 3 rd year of contract. 2.
