Primary Section Class II Dear Children, At last the much awaited summer vacation has begun. It is a time for relaxation and enjoyment. As important as it is to rest & enjoy, it is also important to continue to learn. Strike a balance between work and play and allow yourself to grow in the process. Let vacation time be a doorway to creativity, learning, growth and joy. We have some very interesting Holiday Homework for you this vacation. You are sure to enjoy this learning activity. The projects have been chosen with a lot of deliberation. Utmost care has been taken to ensure that you use your creativity, your innovative ideas and your imagination to shape your projects into beautiful, wonderful creations. Primary Section Name: Class: Date: Section: Submission of completed homework to the class teacher of Class II by Tuesday, August 01, 2017 is compulsory. 5 marks are allotted for the homework. The marks will be added in the 1 st monthly test. Maintain a daily diary and record your activities accordingly. Note: Make a scrap book, cover it nicely and paste all your homework in it.

English Activity 1: Verb Booklet Sample 1. Draw 26 circles in equal sizes. 2. Write an action word with a different alphabet in each circle, and a sentence using the selected word on the circle. 3. Arrange the circles in a booklet in alphabetical order.(use coloured sheets) Activity 2: Story Book 1. Make Young s World a part of your reading. 2. Make a story book of your own by pasting different stories from it on coloured sheets and decorate it. Activity 3: Make masks/puppets of your favourite characters from any story you have read. You will have to tell the story in your own words in the class using the masks/puppets after the vacations.

General Knowledge Activity 1 Look at Rs 10, Rs 100 and Rs 1000 Pakistani currency and answer the following questions. Who is the person on the currency? When is his birthday? Name the emblem in the left hand corner of the currency. Name the languages used on the currency. How many pictures are there at the back side of Rs 1000 note? Name all the pictures printed on Rs 1000 note. Which bank name is printed on the notes? Whose signatures are there on the notes? Activity 2 Make an attractive Animal Pictionary and enhance your vocabulary. Paste or draw pictures of any 10 animals and write facts about them. Example of one animal is given below. Lion Baby lion cub Habitat-lives in forests. Lions are wild animals. Lions are the only big cats that live in groups called prides.

Mathematics General Guidelines for Students: 1. Do the homework in a separate homework notebook. 2. Presentation carries marks. 3. Number the questions in serial order. 4. Draw neat diagrams wherever necessary and label the parts neatly and clearly. Q1. Conduct a survey of your friends to find which kind of movie they like the most; Represent the information in the form of a pie chart as shown in the picture given below.
