The School of Social Sciences and Humanities currently offers six programs of study starting Fall 2015 in the following fields: History, Philosophy, Sociology and Anthropology, Arabic Language and Linguistics, Political Sciences and International Relations and Comparative Literature. Note: The Doha Institute might announce on its website before the end of this current year, the launching of more programs: Legal Studies and Media Studies. 5.3 Academic writing Sample (optional at this stage) Applicants who meet the minimum institutional admission requirements and their applications are transferred to the 2 nd phase of admission i.e. school/department evaluation will be asked to submit an existing sample of academic work (e.g. a research paper or essay) written during undergraduate studies. Though this sample is not mandatory at this stage nevertheless the admissions office highly recommends providing it to support the application. The CV must state all high schools, institutions and universities attended by applicants and should specify the following information: A Sequential statement of dates and periods spent by the applicants, since high school and until the date of application, studying, working, training or unemployed along with a brief description of what has been done during each period as well as in case any certificates or qualifications or experience were obtained or in case applicants published research or participated in books and obtained awards and certificates of appreciation in any period of these periods. This is particularly important for those who have graduated few years ago. 13
