SCREENING TEST 1. On-line Screening Test In addition to the minimum qualifications as per the UGC regulations, 2010 amended from time to time, the Candidates shall have to appear the screening test conducted through on-line. The screening test will be conducted either by the University or any other agency entrusted by the University. 2. Date & Centre of the Screening Test The date and venue of the on-line screening test will be communicated through the registered e-mail mentioned in the application of the Candidate. Further, the date of screening test will be communicated through the University website. The Candidates are informed to browse the University website for latest updates. 3. Syllabus of the Screening Test The syllabus of the screening test is hosted on the University website. 4. Scheme of the Screening Test The test will consist of two papers. Paper I, common to all Candidates, will be Teaching and Research Aptitude, while Paper II will be concerned subject. Paper I and Paper II put together are for 300 marks. Paper I will contain 120 objective type questions for 120 marks (each question carries 1 mark). For Paper II, the Candidates have to answer 180 objective type questions for 180 marks (each question carries 1 mark). Duration for Paper I is 2 hours & Paper II duration is 3 hours. 5. Negative marks There will be negative marks for each wrong answer. Each wrong answer will carry 1/3 negative mark for the question. 6. Qualifying marks The minimum qualifying marks in the on-line screening test for consideration of an eligible candidate to the oral interview in case of category is 40%, BC category is 35% and for SC, ST and PH categories is 30%. 7. Oral Interview The Candidates, who qualify in the screening test, shall be called for oral interview according to the terms and conditions notified in the advertisement by the University. 8. Downloading of the hall tickets Hall tickets can be downloaded 7 days before commencement of the on-line screening test. The candidates should submit online application in the prescribed format available in the APSCHE website i.e http://sche.ap.gov.in/asstprof/masters/home.aspx or through the link in University website www.skuniversity.ac.in. After submitting the online application, a hard copy of the same should be submitted by post to the Registrar, Sri Krishnadevaraya University, Ananthapuramu-515 003 on or before 31-01-2018 5-00 PM. REGISTRAR

1. The University reserves the right to: INSTRUCTIONS TO APPLICANTS (a) Withdraw an advertised post(s) at any time without giving any reason. (b) Not to fill up any of the advertised positions. 2. Candidates are advised to satisfy themselves before applying that they possess at least the minimum essential qualifications/experience laid down for the post. 3. Qualifications and other conditions shall be applicable as stipulated by the MHRD/UGC regulations also and as amended from time to time. 4. Canvassing in any form shall lead to cancellation of candidature. 5. Those already in Govt./University service should send their applications through proper channel and produce N at the time of interview. 6. In case of any inadvertent mistake/errors in the process of selection, which may be detected at any stage even after issue of the appointment letter, the University reserves the right to modify/withdraw/cancel any communication made to the candidate. 7. After joining the service of the University, the candidate will have to abide by the Rules, Regulations and Ordinances of the University applicable from time to time. He / she may be assigned any duty within the University or outside depending upon the exigency of the work. 8. The University can verify the antecedents or documents submitted by the candidate at any time during tenure of service. In case, it is detected that the documents submitted by the candidates are fake or the candidate has a clandestine antecedents / background for which he/her has been convicted by any court and has suppressed the said information, then his/her services shall be terminated forthwith. 9. Separate application shall be submitted for each post and subject as per the Notification / Instructions. 10. Attested True copies of all the testimonials, details of educational qualifications, Date of Birth Certificate, Caste Certificate, Experience Certificate, Publications, etc, shall be enclosed to the downloaded online application (Hard Copy). All the Original certificates shall be compulsorily produced at the time of the interview for verification and also at the time of joining, if selected.

11. On line applications received after the due date or incomplete or not conforming to the prescribed format in any respect will not be considered and no communication will be entertained in this regard. Any postal delay will not be considered. 12. If the authorities decide to interview the candidate, he / she should arrange to be present at the place fixed on the date and time specified at his / her own expenses. 13. A candidate who is found to have furnished false particulars or suppressed material information or found involved in unlawful activities shall be disqualified and if appointed, will be liable to be dismissed without any notice. 14. If any candidate is found convicted by a Court of Law involving illegal activities at a later date and such appointment shall be cancelled automatically without any notice. 15. Last date for submission of online application is 26-01-2018. 16. Duly filled-in online application can be downloaded and the same hard copy along with necessary enclosures should be sent to the Registrar, Sri Krishnadevaraya University, Ananthapuramu 515003, (A.P.) GENERAL QUALIFICATIONS AND ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA Candidates are advised to read the instructions carefully before filling up the application form and dispatching it. The minimum qualifications required for appointment in the University as laid down by the UGC (approved by the Government in G.O.Ms.No.14 Higher Education (UE.II) Dept. dated 20-2-2010 and contained in the UGC Regulations on Minimum Qualifications for Appointment of Teachers and Other Academic Staff in Universities and Colleges and Measures for the Maintenance of Standards in Higher Education, 2010 vide letter No. F. 3-1/2009 dated 30.06.2010) and University Grants Commission (Minimum Qualifications for Appointment of Teachers and Other Academic Staff in Universities and Colleges and Measures for the Maintenance of Standards in Higher Education) (4th Amendment), Regulations, 2016,vide G.O.Ms.No.38 Higher Education (UE) Dept. dated 23-6-2016 for the posts of Professors, Associate Professors, and Assistant Professors are given below. For further details, visit UGC website www.ugc.ac.in ASSISTANT PROFESSOR: Scale of Pay: Rs. 15,600 39,100 + AGP Rs. 6,000/- Minimum Qualifications prescribed for Appointment of Assistant Professor A. Arts, Humanities, Sciences, Social Sciences, Commerce, Education, Languages, Law, Journalism and Mass Communication i. Good academic record as defined by the concerned university with at least 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed) at the Master s Degree level in a relevant subject from an Indian University, or an equivalent degree from an accredited foreign university. ii. iii. Besides fulfilling the above qualifications, the candidate must have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the UGC, CSIR or similar test accredited by the UGC like SLET/SET. Candidates, who are, or have been awarded a Ph. D. Degree in accordance with the University Grants Commission (Minimum Standards and Procedure for Award of Ph.D. Degree) Regulations, 2009, shall be exempted from the requirement of the minimum eligibility condition of NET/SLET/SET for recruitment and appointment of Assistant Professor or equivalent positions in Universities/Colleges/Institutions.

Provided further, the award of degree to candidates registered for the M.Phil/Ph.D. programme prior to July 11, 2009, shall be governed by the provisions of the then existing Ordinances/Bylaws/Regulations of the Institutions awarding the degree and the Ph.D. candidates shall be exempted from the requirement of NET/SLET/SET for recruitment and appointment of Assistant Professor or equivalent positions in Universities/Colleges /Institutions subject to the fulfilment of the following conditions:- a. Ph.D. degree of the candidate awarded in regular mode only; b. Evaluation of the Ph.D. thesis by at least two external examiners; c. Open Ph.D. viva voce of the candidate had been conducted; d. Candidate has published two research papers from his/her Ph.D. work out of which at least one must be in a refereed journal; e. Candidate has made at least two presentations in conferences/seminars, based on his/her Ph.D work. (a) to (e) as above are to be certified by the Vice-Chancellor/Pro-Vice- Chancellor/Dean (Academic Affairs)/Dean(University instructions). "Ph.D. degrees which are pursued either full time or part time will be treated as degrees awarded through Regular Mode provided these are in conformity with the existing Statutes/Bye laws/ordinances etc. of the degree awarding University. However, the Ph.D. acquired under distance mode is not permitted. iv. NET/SLET/SET shall also not be required for such Masters Programmes in disciplines for which NET/SLET/SET is not conducted. v. A relaxation of 5% may be provided at the graduate and Masters level for the Scheduled Castes/Scheduled Tribes/Differently-abled (physically and visually differently-abled) /Other Backward Classes (OBC) (Non-creamy layer) categories for the purpose of eligibility and for assessing good academic records during direct recruitment to teaching positions. The eligibility marks of 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed) and the relaxation of 5% to the categories mentioned above are permissible, based on only the qualifying marks without including any grace mark procedures. vi. A relaxation of 5% may be provided, from 55% to 50% of the marks to the Ph.D. Degree holders, who have obtained their Master s Degree prior to 19 September, 1991. Relevant grade which is regarded as equivalent of 55% wherever the grading system is followed by a recognized university shall also be considered eligible.

B. BUSINESS MANAGEMENT i. Essential: 1. First Class Masters Degree in Business Management / Administration / in a relevant management related discipline or first class in two year full time PGDM declared equivalent by AIU / accredited by the AICTE / UGC; OR 2. First Class graduate and professionally qualified Charted Accountant / Cost and Works Accountant / Company Secretary of the concerned statutory bodies. 3. A relaxation of 5% may be provided at the graduate and master s level for the Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe/Differently-abled (Physically and visually differently-abled) categories for the purpose of eligibility and for assessing good academic record during direct recruitment to teaching positions. The eligibility marks of 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed) and the relaxation of 5% to the categories mentioned above are permissible, based on only the qualifying marks without including any grace mark procedures. ii. Desirable: 1. Teaching, research, industrial and / or professional experience in a reputed organization. 2. Papers presented at Conferences and / or published in refereed journals. C. PHARMACY i. Essential: 1. A basic degree in Pharmacy (B.Pharm). 2. Registration as a Pharmacist under the Pharmacy Act, 1948, as amended from time to time, including any succeeding enactments. 3. First Class Master s Degree in appropriate branch of specialization in Pharmacy (M.Pharm). ii. Desirable: 1. Teaching, research, industrial and / or professional experience in a reputed organization; 2. Papers presented at Conferences and / or published in refereed journals. iii. Specializations: Pharmaceutics / Pharmaceutical Chemistry / Pharmacology / Pharmaceutical Analysis.

GROUP III - ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY i. Essential: 1. First class Masters Degree in the appropriate branch of Engineering (Engg.) and Technology (Tech.) 2. Preference will be given to the candidates who possess First Class in the Bachelor s Degree also in the appropriate branch of Engineering (Engg.) and Technology (Tech.). ii. Desirable: 1. Teaching, research, industrial and / or professional experience in a reputed organization; 2. Papers presented at Conferences and / or published in refereed journals. REGISTRAR
