DU Passport User Guide Per the University of Denver International Travel Policy, all students, faculty, and staff traveling abroad on University business must register their travel in DU Passport prior to departure. The purpose of this guide is to walk you through the travel registration process. This guide also provides information to faculty and staff trip leaders seeking approval for faculty-led programs. Travel Registration Student Travel Registration A) Students Traveling on Faculty-Led Programs: 1) Students traveling on faculty-led programs must use this link to register their travel: http://abroad.du.edu/index.cfm?fuseaction=programs.viewprogram&progra m_id=10219. **Once you have initiated the process, you will need to log in with the general DU Passport link to make changes or to review your registration: https://abroad.du.edu.** 2) The link will take you to the DU Passport page for Faculty-Led Travel Student Registration. Click on the Apply Now button in the bottom center of the page. 3) Log in with your PioneerWeb Credentials.

2 4) The next page will prompt you to enter your itinerary. Enter your dates, manually type in the city or town where you will be traveling, and click on Enter. If you city or town does not come up, email risk@du.edu for assistance. 5) Click Add to Itinerary. Your location will populate under the grey Itinerary bar. For multiple locations, repeat this step. You can edit your itinerary by clicking on the red X next to the location. You can also edit your itinerary later in the registration process if necessary. Click Apply in the lower left side of the screen. 6) DU Passport will take you to the main registration page. Click on the Faculty-Led Travel Student Registration questionnaire under Application Questionnaire(s). You must complete all questions with an asterisk (*) before you can submit the questionnaire. Next, upload your passport by clicking on the Passport Copy link. Follow the instructions for uploading the document.

3 7) After completing the questionnaire, click on the links in the Signature Documents section. 8) Once you have completed an item, the corresponding box will be checked. When all of the boxes are checked, your registration is complete. You can edit your itinerary by clicking on pencil next to the location on the bottom right side of the page. 9) Contact risk@du.edu with any questions or problems. B) Experiential Learning: Students Traveling for Internships, Research, Student-Led Travel, an Unaffiliated Program, or Athletics 1) Students traveling overseas for internships, research, student-led travel, unaffiliated programs (for DU credit or that will receive University funding), or athletics must use this link to register their travel: http://abroad.du.edu/index.cfm?fuseaction=programs.viewprogram&program_id= 10198. **Once you have initiated the process, you will need to log in with the general DU Passport link to make changes or to review your registration: https://abroad.du.edu.** 2) The link will take you to the DU Passport page for Experiential Learning International Travel Registration. Click on the Apply Now button in the bottom center of the page.

4 3) Log in with your PioneerWeb Credentials. 4) The next page will prompt you to enter your itinerary. Enter your dates, manually type in the city or town where you will be traveling, and click on Enter. If you city or town does not come up, email risk@du.edu for assistance. 5) Click Add to Itinerary. 9 Faculty-Led Travel Approval Process 1) Program leaders must use this link to apply for approval of your faculty-led program: http://abroad.du.edu/index.cfm?fuseaction=programs.viewprogram&program_id=101 93. **Once you have initiated the process, you will need to log in with the general DU Passport link to make changes or to review your registration: https://abroad.du.edu.** 2) The link will take you to the DU Passport page for Faculty-Led International Program Approval Application. Click on the Get Started button in the bottom center of the page. 3) Log in with your PioneerWeb Credentials. 4) Select the year during which your program will take place. Click Apply.

10 5) Click on the questionnaire Course and Trip Information for Faculty Led-Travel Conditional Approval - DUE 6 MONTHS BEFORE TRAVEL. You must answer all questions before you submit the application. You can click Save and return to the questionnaire if needed. 6) Once you have submitted the questionnaire, the Offices of Internationalization and Risk Management will review your application. You will receive communication regarding the status of your application. 7) No later than 3 months prior to your travel dates, log back in to DU Passport using this link: https://abroad.du.edu. You will see your application in the left column on the webpage. Click on your application and then click on the questionnaire Course and Trip Information for Faculty Led-Travel Final Approval - DUE 3 MONTHS BEFORE TRAVEL. 8) Once you have submitted the questionnaire, the Offices of Internationalization and Risk Management will review your application. You will receive communication regarding the status of your application. 9) Contact risk@du.edu with any questions or problems.
