Program Overview A panel of national and international experts will present the most recent, cutting edge information on different topics regarding antithrombotic therapy. The focus will be on advanced knowledge in basic sciences, clinical advances, controversies, and clinical pearls and application of antithrombotic therapy. Space is limited so early registration is encouraged. Target Audience Physicians in Primary Care, Internal Medicine, Family Practice, Hematology, Pulmonary Medicine and Cardiology, Nurses, Pharmacists, PA-C and other healthcare professionals caring for anticoagulation patients. Educational Objectives After participating in this conference, attendees will be able to Outline the underuse, overuse and use of anticoagulants in special populations Recognize the unmet need to protect our medically ill patients in critically vulnerable times Evaluate current literature and guidelines supporting the management of DOAC-related bleeding Continuing Medical Education Statement This activity has been planned and implemented in accordance with the accreditation requirements and policies of the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education through the joint providership of Wayne State University School of Medicine and the North American Thrombosis Forum. A Statement of Continuing Pharmacy Education Credit will be available through CPE Monitor within 48 hours of completion of evaluation.
