Engineering Mathematics (One credit) This course is recommended for students in Grades 11 and 12. : Algebra II. Engineering Mathematics is a course where students solve and model design problems. Students will use a variety of mathematical methods and models to represent and analyze problems that represent a range of real-world engineering applications such as robotics, data acquisition, spatial applications, electrical measurement, manufacturing processes, materials engineering, mechanical drives, pneumatics, process control systems, quality control, and computer programming. This course satisfies a high school mathematics graduation requirement. Practicum in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (Two credits) This course is recommended for students in Grade 12. s: Algebra I and Geometry. prerequisites: two Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) Career Cluster credits. The practicum course is a paid or unpaid capstone experience for students participating in a coherent sequence of career and technical education courses in the STEM Career Cluster. Students shall be awarded two credits for successful completion of this course. A student may repeat this course once for credit provided that the student is experiencing different aspects of the industry and demonstrating proficiency in additional and more advanced knowledge and skills. Practicum in STEM is designed to give students supervised practical application of previously studied knowledge and skills. Practicum experiences can occur in a variety of locations appropriate to the nature and level of experience. Students are encouraged to participate in extended learning experiences such as CTE student organizations and other leadership or extracurricular organizations.

Career Preparation Career Preparation I 2 credits Career Preparation provides opportunities for students to participate in a learning experience that combines classroom instruction with paid business and industry employment experiences and supports strong partnerships among school, business, and community stakeholders. Career Preparation II 2 credits Career Preparation I or II can be included as possible final course in a coherent sequence of courses for CTE endorsements (STEM, Business and Industry, and Public Services). *Please note that based on student demand and teacher availability, CTE courses may be unavailable or full during a semester/year. Students are encouraged to consult these documents regularly. Although this is what we expect to offer in the future, we acknowledge that this is subject to change.
