FOCUS: Christ offers all people the living water of salvation. To those who thirst for truth in this world, our Christian Faith offers the living waters of baptism and life in Christ. So many in our world are like the woman in the gospel, isolated and afraid, often living on the fringes, looking for something or someone in whom to place their trust and faith. Let us pray they turn to Christ.

Page 2 Dear SCS Families, FACULTY UPDATES A few weeks ago we began the interview process for next year s faculty and staff. I am happy to report we have already started filling positions. Mrs. Elizabeth Agresta (formerly Fulham) will be joining our SCS team next year as our Assistant Principal. This past July Mrs. Agresta accepted a position with Hillsborough County Public Schools as their Chief Academic Officer. Thankful for the experience this position provided her, Mrs. Agresta realized how much she missed being in a Catholic school environment and recently resigned from that position. Many of you know Mrs. Agresta because she worked in the Diocesan Office of Catholic Schools and Centers as the Associate Superintendent for Pinellas County and was the Acting Superintendent until Mr. Pastura joined our Diocese. Mrs. Agresta was also the principal of St. Paul Catholic School in St. Petersburg for 10 years and was an elementary teacher with Pinellas County Schools for 16 years. We are very fortunate to have Mrs. Agresta joining us with all of her expertise. She knows firsthand what a wonderful school St. Cecelia s is and she is so excited to become a member of our amazing faculty and staff. Please join me in extending Mrs. Agresta a very warm SCS welcome! Mrs. Suzanne Green will be joining our SCS team next year as our Middle School Technology Teacher/Team Member. For the past fifteen years Mrs. Green has worked as a technology coordinator/ technology teacher. She first began teaching technology to the students of Resurrection Catholic School in Lakeland in 2002. Then in 2006, she moved to Pinellas County and started teaching technology to the students of St. Raphael Catholic School in St. Petersburg where she s been ever since. Mrs. Green has a passion for teaching students computer science. She recently earned the Microsoft Innovation Educator Badge and is a Computer Science Fundamental Facilitator with Code.org. We feel very fortunate to have Mrs. Green join our amazing faculty and staff and she is thrilled to become a member of our Technology Team. She is very excited and looks forward to working with everyone. Please join me in extending Mrs. Green a very warm SCS welcome! Peace, Ms. Wostbrock SCIENCE NEWS Ms. Manter s science students have had a busy two weeks in the science lab. The 7th grade built molecules of DNA out of recycled materials. All middle school students celebrated Pi Day on March 14 by calculating the diameter, radius, circumference, and area of round edible objects.
