MIAMI - ST. THOMAS UNIVERSITY PROGRAM A prestigious, private university with a reputation for academic excellence located on a spacious and tropical campus offers modern facilities. Students are housed in university residences. The residential hall is modern and air-conditioned with large rooms and weekly cleaning service. The neighborhoods in Fort Lauderdale are safe with modern homes set amid lush tropical vegetation. Each host family is carefully selected by TLA s Housing Director. JUNIOR PROGRAMS - BOOKING FACTS THE PROGRAM PRICE INCLUDES 17-hour tuition in 20 lessons per week (Esta or Tourist Visa valid) Accommodation and all meals as specified per program Activities and Excursions as stated in each program Transportation to/from school when applicable Airport transfers for group of 12 or more THE PROGRAM PRICE DOES NOT INCLUDE Registration fee of US $125.00 for individual students Medical Insurance / Travel Insurance Airport transfers Lunch on Saturday & Sunday Optional Excursions Additional night fees HOW TO BOOK Complete the booking form with the selected program The net invoice and acceptance letter will be sent to you For Individuals To confirm the reservation a non-refundable deposit of $200.00 plus the $125.00 registration fee is due with the booking form The balance of program payment is due one month prior to the student arrival date. Payment may be made via bank transfer or credit card (3% fee for any credit card transaction) For Groups Allocation requests will be taken from September 1, 2015 A 20% deposit is required on or before March 01, 2016 to secure the booking The balance of 80% is due 14 days prior to the group arrival date If you request any additional services after the final payment has been made, these services such as additional group members, airport transfer fee and/or optional excursions must be paid for in full at the time of booking CODE OF CONDUCT, HEALTH AND SAFETY Students must comply with the rules and regulations of the program Any breach of these policies may result in the student being suspended from activities or, in case of severe violations being removed from the program Repatriation will be at the sole expense of the student (or parents) if such action is warranted. TLA enrolls students based upon the assumption that the students are in good health, Any pre-existing condition must be communicated in advance of the students arrival TLA cannot confirm that special dietary requirements will be met LOSS, DAMAGE AND INSURANCE Students are required to have medical insurance with the policy details in English. TLA strongly advises that students also carry a travel insurance policy to cover the costs associated with lost or delayed baggage, travel interruptions While every effort is made to ensure the students property is safe at all times, TLA cannot be responsible for any loss or damage to personal property of the students. TLA does not accept any responsibility for any additional fees required due to the cancellation or delay of public transportation including in the event of weather, sickness or quarantine. SECURITY DEPOSIT Each student is required to pay a security deposit. The deposit amount for Hotel Residence and St. Thomas University is $100.00. The deposit for American Homestay is $50.00. The deposit will be retained for the duration of the students stay at TLA. TLA reserves the right to refuse return of the deposit in the event of damage of property or any violation of the student policies as details in the student manual PUBLICITY By enrolling in the course the student and his/her parents consent to the use of their images or recordings of the student however made may be used for promotional purposes CANCELLATION AND REFUND POLICY Deposits are non refundable for cancellations. Please request enrollment terms and conditions prior to booking There are no refunds for any service not taken up or cancelled by the customer on arrival or during the program in the case of late arrival, early departure, illness, accident, absence or change of mind, the full invoice amount applies, even in the cases of where the invoice remains to be settled No refund is due in the event of removal or repatriation of a customer due to irregular behavior, arrest, violation of US laws and or violation of TLA policies, and disruptive or aggressive behavior There is no refund due to acts of god, including weather epidemics, strikes or any other reason which is beyond TLA s control 7
