ABOUT THE ASSOCIATION The Canadian Association of Pathologists (Association canadienne des pathologists) a voluntary professional organization, advances the interests of the profession and promotes high quality standards for patient care by providing national leadership and promoting excellence in pathology and laboratory medicine practice, education and research. is a Royal College Accredited Provider of CPD and accredits its own and other educational events. The association consists of over 1000 people connected to the pathology community in Canada. It officially represents the pathology community to federal and provincial authorities and other national and international professional organizations such as CMA, the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, the American Society of Clinical Pathologists, the College of American Pathologists, the International Academy of Pathology, and the International Liaison Committee of Presidents. ANNUAL MEETING PROFILE The Annual Meeting will be held at the Hilton Hotel in Québec City, from July 7 to 10. The theme of the meeting is The Evolving Role of Pathologists in the Era of Predictive Biomarkers and Precision Medicine. We anticipate over 350 pathologists, technicians and residents will be in attendance at Canada s premier event for the pathology community. The program is comprised of an extensive scientific program including symposia and workshops. This year the Association Quebec des Pathologistes (APQ) will be holding their annual meeting in conjunction with our Annual Meeting. The Meeting is an Accredited Group Learning Activity (Section 1) as defined by the Maintenance of Certification program of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada. Through an agreement between the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada and the American Medical Association, physicians may convert Royal College MOC credits to AMA PRA Category 1 Credits. Information on the process to convert Royal College MOC credit to AMA credit can be found at www. ama-assn.org/go/internationalcme. www.cap-acp.com 1

CONFERENCE MARKETING The Conference is marketed by the Association through email blasts to our members on a monthly basis beginning in January each year. Full page ads are placed in each issue of the Canadian Journal of Pathology. Save the Date Cards will be distributed at the Banff Course in September 2017, and Residents Review Course in January 2018 and sent to each pathology laboratory in Canada to be posted in a high traffic viewing location. The Association through its reciprocal arrangement with the USCAP will be promoting the conference on their website and at the USCAP Annual Meeting in March 2018. NETWORKING ENVIRONMENT The exhibit hall will be open for two full days July 8 and 9. All refreshment breaks and lunches are served in the exhibit area ensuring exhibitors have easy access to interact with all delegates. In addition our e-poster stations are on the exhibit floor both days allowing exhibitors to network over conversations regarding the scientific content. The exhibit hall closes on Monday evening with a reception on the exhibit hall floor. In addition sponsors and exhibitors are welcome and encouraged to attend the President s Reception on Sunday evening and the Gala Banquet and Awards event on Tuesday evening. EXHIBIT SPACE Diamond, Platinum and Gold sponsors have an exhibit space included in their sponsorship entitlements. Exhibit space is available to Silver and Bronze sponsors, and to other companies that wish to only exhibit for a fee of $1,900 for each 10 x 8 space. DIAMOND SPONSORS $28,000 Exclusive to this level: Conduct a Co-Developed, Accredited Integrated Symposium Possible Dates: Sunday, July 8 Monday, July 9 Tuesday, July 10 Symposium Guidelines: The symposium must be accredited and co-developed with following Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada Maintenance of Certification criteria and guidelines. Only three spots available, one per day. Additional Costs (not included as part of the sponsorship): The sponsor is responsible for all expenses related to the speakers (honoraria, travel and accommodation) per the accreditation guidelines and funding rules. The sponsor is responsible for all expenses related to food and beverage, if any, which must be supplied by the host venue.
