ipad integration training ipad 101: Introduction to ipad in the classroom This workshop caters for beginner ipad users. Teachers will learn how to navigate the ipad with confidence, manipulate basic settings, explore the native apps and discover helpful tips and tricks. ipad Productivity This workshop will explore the unique functionalities of Keynote, Numbers and Pages to enable teachers to quickly and effectively create presentations and documents. ipad Creativity Media-rich learning is the ideal way for teachers to connect with today s students. Use the apps imovie and GarageBand to learn how to create audio visual presentations using pictures, video, text and sound in teaching, learning and assessment activities. itunes U This workshop explores the use of itunes U as a workflow solution to create, share, grade and interact with students. Teachers will learn how to submit, grade, collaborate and organise resources and assignments. Core apps for your classroom This workshop will explore the unique functionalities of GarageBand, imovie, Keynote, Numbers and Pages to enable teachers to quickly and effectively integrate technology into a learning experience. Basic app smashing techniques are introduced. Classroom modeling strategies Ever wondered what an ipad lesson looks like and how to blend learning between note book and digital? Teachers will experience an ipad lesson first hand from a student s perspective, and then learn how to create resources and structured tasks for studentcentred learning. Lesson integration & classroom management This workshop covers technology integration models, SAMR and TPACK. Teachers will be introduced to lesson planning, classroom administration, digital reporting and classroom management apps. Making learning visible - creating audio visual tutorials This workshop focuses on the implementation of a student-centred approach by creating tutorials using a variety of apps to facilitate the Flipped Classroom model. 5

App Smashing Learn to increase creativity and functionality by combining different apps. Assessment strategies This workshop explores the ways to create online assessments and rubrics plus student submission strategies. Augmented Reality and QR codes Imagine a magical world, where the school hallways are lined with paintings that are alive and interactive. Imagine creating an atmosphere like that for your students. The use of Augmented Reality and QR codes allows teachers to do just this. ICDL certification: ipad Fundamentals for teachers This course is designed to aid teachers in successful implementation of the ipad as an administration and teaching tool. ipads in the remedial and special needs classroom Assisting the development of literacy Explore apps to enhance letter recognition, letter formation and pattern formation. Content creation and language acquisition for the deaf and hard of hearing students A session exploring apps to create specialised content to improve language acquisition and adapting content for deaf and hard of hearing students. Improving communication through Alternative and Augmentative Communication This workshop introduces apps to support and enhance picture based communication as well as storytelling for non-verbal students. Teachers will also look at apps that support alternative forms of communication. Creating workflow solutions for students with specific special needs such as motor function disabilities, blind and low vision A workshop focused on exploring accessibility features to create workflow solutions for the individual and utilising apps for specific physical disabilities. Mac in the classroom Mac OS X for beginners A workshop formulated for teachers who are new to Mac and want to know how to use its features in a learning environment. The workshop focuses on navigational and productivity skills, and explores key settings, features and learning resources. Creating media-rich learning Learn how to use ilife to enliven lessons, meet standards and prepare students with 21st century skills. ilife is composed of Photos for organising and sharing digital photos; imovie for editing movies and GarageBand for learning music and creating podcasts. Getting productive with Mac iwork In Pages, you and your students can design newsletters, book reports, flyers and more. For data-rich projects, Numbers helps students build tables, charts and graphs. With Keynote, students and teachers can create presentations with stunning transitions, 3D charts and videos. ibooks Author - creating multi-touch books Learn to create engaging Multi-Touch books for ipad or Mac. Design interactive learning experiences. Add photo galleries with captions and images. Drag and drop video, historic speeches, music and even 3D models to help students hear, see, touch and better understand concepts. And students can use ibooks Author to create their own books, reports, lab guides and field trip logs. 7

Movies, coding and MakerSpaces School media clubs This programme encourages creativity and content generation by your students and includes: movie making training, competitions and exposure for your school. CodeSpace - learning to code Digital literacy is a critical skill required to navigate the future. CodeSpace has been designed to teach computer programming. CodeSpace can be delivered at your school as a holiday camp, integrated curriculum or extra-curricular activity. Host an Hour of Code at you school We will assist you in becoming part of the global Hour of Code movement. Think Ahead will facilitate the session at your school. A great way to introduce teachers and students to coding. Coding with Swift Playgrounds Swift Playgrounds is a revolutionary new app for ipad that makes learning coding interactive and fun. Swift Playgrounds requires no coding knowledge, so it s perfect for students just starting out. MakerSpace workshops and guidance MakerSpaces provide creative ways to encourage students to question, problem solve, design, experiment and build. We will assist your school with setting up your own MakerSpace - including kit and training. 3D printers in education We will assist with 3D printer procurement and training on how to integrate this powerful tool into the curriculum. 8

G Suite for teaching and learning Beginners guide to G Suite A session that introduces teachers to the benefits and functionality of G Suite. This session will explore Classroom, Gmail, Drive, Calendar, Docs, Sheets, Slides, Forms and Hangouts. Creating a paperless classroom This workshop will explore how Google Drive can be used for your own cloud storage. Teachers will learn how to create folders and new Docs, Sheets and Slides within Google Drive as well as learn how to share information between students and teachers. Personalising learning A session exploring how to personalise learning through Project Based Learning, Flipped Learning and Blended Learning by designing your own subject specific Google Site. Optimising workflow - the advanced features of G Suite Experience how to improve communication with students, peers and parents by harnessing the power of Google translate. The workshop will also cover how to take full advantage of Google Calendar and Gmail functionality. Analysing and interpreting student data Up-skill your use of Google Sheets as well as explore the educational potential of student data using educational add-ons. Organising class and school materials A session focused on the successful utilisation of Google Classroom. Teachers will learn how to create a class, tips to encourage collaboration, how to assess students performance and monitor their progress. 9

Designing interactive teaching material Explore YouTube and learn how to effectively search through Youtube to find educational content. Use YouTube editor to create interactive videos that link to the school curriculum. Building interactive lessons using G Suite Teachers will explore the Google Slides interface and learn how to collaborate and share their work. The workshop will explore how to improve presentations to better communicate content. Taking learning beyond the classroom This workshop will cover how to use Google Hangouts and Youtube On Air, and will also explore how to take virtual field trips using Google Maps. Facilitating group work Focus on effectively collaborating in the classroom with Google Docs and Drive such as using Google Docs to support the writing and revision process. Microsoft Office 365 for teachers Introduction to Office 365 A session focused on an overview of how Office 365 can enhance teaching and learning. It will enable teachers to create an Office 365 account and navigate the available apps in the Office 365 suite. Research, collaboration, assessment and presentation Teachers will explore and be able to select relevant apps for: research, sharing information, presentation, data handling, creating documents, assessments and videos. App smashing and flipping your classroom with Office 365 Up-skill your app smashing capabilities and learn how to create tutorials using various apps to flip the class. Use OneDrive to create and manage workflow. Introduction to Word, PowerPoint and Excel - Office Mix and Microsoft Educator Community Teachers will explore the functionality of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint in the classroom. 10

Creative classrooms with Sway and Skype Delve into the use of Sway and Skype in the classroom. During this workshop, teachers will also take a virtual tour using online resources and create their own augmented reality using Aurasma. Assessment made easy Explore the creation and sharing of assessments using Microsoft Forms, Excel survey, OneNote, QR codes and SharePoint. Organising your class workflow A session focused on One Note and Classroom Notebook. Teachers will learn how to share, collate work and add content to a Notebook; as well as how to create a workflow where teacher and student can access and keep information. Minecraft in the classroom This session will provide teachers with an understanding of the value of Minecraft in their classroom. They will achieve a basic understanding of the Minecraft game and its tools. Explore ideas for using Minecraft in teaching. IT team training Our technician courses cover everything around a successful school ICT deployment - from set up, administration, management and maintenance. We cover areas such as: Mobile Device Management set up and use Deployment tools such as DEP and VPP Apple ID/iCloud account management Wi-Fi management & networking Security 11

Student skills development Student app fluency It is always assumed that our students know how to use technology efficiently. We have found that students need to build an additional skill-set which will empower effective creative content creators, content curators and responsible users of mobile devices. Our student training programme includes skills such as technology usage and key app fluency. Digital Leaders Programme The Digital Leaders Programme invites students to support aspects of ICT use within their school. Student Digital Leaders can be an essential element to any successful ICT implementation. They have a range of duties which include day to day classroom support, representing school at events and running internal help desk type initiatives. 12

Parent engagement Communication and collaboration is key to the success of an ICT integration roll-out. Parent buy-in is critical to programme success.
