Depending on the college and career pathway you choose, there will be requirements, prerequisite courses, and options you will want to learn about before making your schedule decisions for 2015-2016.
Many NHS students choose to take a combination of AP courses, Dual Enrollment courses, CEC courses and Georgia Virtual courses. You will want to talk to your school counselor, your advisor, your teachers, and to your parents to determine the best courses for you to take to help you determine your Individual Graduation Plan (IGP). Let us help you find your path!

When would I go to CEC? The CEC schedule is slightly ahead of the NHS schedule, allowing time for travel between campuses. You can take a class first block, or blocks 1&2, or 3&4. Because some required academic courses are taught there, some juniors and seniors attend CEC all day.
How do I get to CEC? You may drive or have someone take you. You may ride the bus provided by the school. Buses run in the morning, after 2 nd Block, and at the end of the day. If your bus gets to NHS after 7:50 a.m., you should consider other transportation options.
What are the classes like at CEC? Most CEC classes are taught with a practical hands on approach. Students may become involved in work-based or apprenticeship opportunities offered by local businesses. Students may earn college credit or job skill certification at CEC.
What should I do if I am interested in a class at CEC? You can request more information by filling out a card at a CEC representative's table. You are not registering for the class when you fill out this card. If you are interested in taking a class at CEC, you must list the class(s) on your course registration sheet when you receive registration materials in a few weeks. Counselors, administrators, and CEC representatives will be on hand to answer your questions.
