About Ambedkar University Delhi AUD is a public University established by the Government of the National Capital Territory of Delhi through an Act of Legislature in 2007 and was notified in July 2008. Mandated to focus on research and teaching in the social sciences and humanities and guided by Dr Ambedkar's vision of bridging equality and social justice with excellence, AUD considers it to be its mission to create sustainable and effective linkages between access to and success in higher education. AUD is committed to creating an institutional culture characterized by humanism, nonhierarchical and collegial functioning, teamwork and creativity. About Ambedkar University Library AUD Library is the central library of the Ambedkar University Delhi. The Library caters to the educational and research needs of the academic community and its resources are consulted by university fraternity. The AUD library is holding more than 35000 books in the field of social science, humanities and arts from the renowned publishers across the globe. The library has hundreds of e-books, 16000 national and international journals/ magazines. The AUD library is fully automated and centralised air conditioned. The library has allowed the access of online collection within the campus and off the campus to its registered users. The library worked throughout the year except three national holidays i.e. 26th January, 15th August and 2nd October from 08:00 am to 08:00 pm. About SLP The Society for Library Professionals (SLP) was established on 3 January 2008 under the Societies Registration Act 1860. The role of this Society is to achieve high standard of Librarianship in India. This will be achieved by the development of strong linkages among libraries and information centres across the globe; promotion of the library and information science profession in India by fostering collaboration with national and international agencies; and for intellectual development and education exchange of its members. The Society has organized a number of national and international professional enhancement programmes including conference, workshops and seminars. About Asian Chapter (SLA) The Special Libraries Association (SLA) with it s headquarter at USA, is a non-profit global organization for information. SLA was founded in 1909 in the State of New York and is now the international association representing the interests of thousands of information professionals in over eighty countries worldwide. The mission of the Special Libraries Association is to advance the leadership role of SLA members in putting knowledge to work for the benefit of decision makers. The SLA Asian chapter has about 175 members and covers a large geographical area consisting of 22 countries. About Library and Information Professional Summit (LIPS) The First LIPS-2012 on Leadership, Ethics, Accountability and Professionalism in Library Service was held in March 2012 in Institute of Economic Growth, University of Delhi Enclave, Delhi, India. The Second LIPS- 2013 on Human Resource Development in Library Services was held in February 2013 in Institute of Economic Growth, University of Delhi Enclave, Delhi, India. The Third LIPS-2014 on From Brick to Click: Transforming Libraries into Social Spaces was held in March 2014 in South Campus, University of Delhi, Dhaula Kuan, Delhi. The Fourth LIPS-2015 on Transforming Dimensions of IPR: Challenges for New Age Libraries was held in January 2015 in National Law University, Dwarka, Delhi, India.

Conference Objectives The principle objective of this event is to provide a platform for the exchange of knowledge and skills relevant to students, professors and Information professionals. This conference will offer an opportunity to put forward innovative plans, debate classic ideas, and promote closer cooperation among colleagues. It will solicit high quality research papers and provide an international forum for researchers, developers and practitioners to present applied and theoretical research findings. New ideas, suggestions and problem faced during the practice of librarianship would be prime agenda to be discussed during the event. Programme Structure The conference program will include plenary sessions, invited and contributed papers, poster sessions, product presentations, panel discussions and an exhibition. A series of parallel sessions will be held offering delegates a wide range of in depth presentations by leading national and international experts. Who should attend? This major event expects global participation by information scientists and professionals involved in library research, information resource management, technology application, and other related disciplines in the field of library and information studies. Paper Submission Guidelines Participants are invited to contribute papers for presentation on the above themes and related aspects. The papers should be based on research surveys; case studies or action plans rather than theoretical explanations. Papers are to be sent to Conference Secretariat at: LIPS2016may@gmail.com. Submission of full papers (not more than 6 pages) with an abstract in approximately 200 words, keywords and references on A4 size paper with margin 1.5 cm on all sides in MS Word format in 10 points New Times Roman type single line spacing. Length of the paper should not exceed 4000 words. Details such as name of the author, designation, title of the article, abstract, name of the affiliating institution, mailing address, telephone number, fax number and E-mail address are to be included. The paper submitted must not have been previously published or presented elsewhere. The Programme Committee will have the right to edit the papers. Selected papers will be published in the proceedings. The selected papers will be published as edited book with ISBN number in print or digital format.
