Understanding the KS5 Curriculum Year 12 students will study three subjects as two year courses. All changes to be made by the end of this week. Maths & Science sitting transition tests to assess suitability for courses Most subjects are now linear and will be assessed in May/June 2018- assessment opportunities throughout the two years to monitor progress and attainment Remaining modular subjects: Law, Politics, Mathematics, Further mathematics, Media Studies & Food Technology Students will sit an AS examination in May 2017 New BTEC specifications in ICT, Health & Social Care & Business-students will sit 2 examinations one in year 12/13 Only BTEC Applied Law and Public Services 100% coursework Most students will study an additional qualification such as EPQ, The Progression Module or GCSE Mathematics
