Canvas Apps This 1-hour lab provides you with the basic information on how to: Find Canvas apps, set up LTI Canvas apps, and set up other Canvas add-ins. Respondus Tools This 1-hour lab provides you with the basic information on how to utilize: Respondus quiz tool, lockdown browser secure testing environment, and Studymate student learning tool. Managing Student Multimedia This 1-hour lab provides you with the basic information on how to: download and view student multimedia assignments, instruct students on proper multimedia submission methods, and utilize video in Canvas discussion boards. Web Conferencing This 1-hour lab provides you with the basic information on how to set up and use a web conference using Bb Collaborate and Big Blue Button within Canvas. Canvas: Test & Quizzes This 1-hour lab provides you with the basic information on how to: create, maintain and grade tests and quizzes, test quizzes in student view, and create and manage question banks and groups. Canvas Open Lab This open lab time for Canvas provides instructors an opportunity to get Canvas support, ask instructional technology staff questions and interact with colleagues. Instructional Technology Workshop This open lab time for EWU instructional technologies provides instructors an opportunity to get tech support, ask instructional technology staff questions and interact with colleagues. Build Media Collections This 1-hour lab provides you with the basic information on how to: Create and make available streaming media, how to upload and publish in Canvas and, build a coursebased Helix Media Library. StudyMate Author Setup Get help installing StudyMate Author software on your personal computer (Windows only). StudyMate Author allows instructors to easily create study activities and games for students in Canvas. Panopto Learn to use the Panopto desk top recording tool. Blogs in the Classroom This 1-hour lab provides you with the basic information on how to set up and maintain blogs in the classroom using the EWU WordPress service and other blogging tools. Canvas: Publisher Tools This 1-hour lab provides you with the basic information on how to integrate publisher materials within a Canvas course including materials, assignments and gradebook setup. Wikis and Pages in the Classroom This 1-hour lab provides you with the basic information on how to set up, utilize and maintain wikis and/or Canvas pages within the classroom. Canvas: Groups and Peer Reviews This 1-hour lab provides you with the basic information on how to: create and manage student groups, create a peer review assignment, and grade peer reviews. Respondus Setup Attend this session to get help installing Respondus software on your personal computer (Windows only). Lockdown Browser Setup Receive help with the LockDown Browser - a tool that provides a more secure student online testing environment. 6
Turnitin This 1-hour lab provides you with the basic information on how to: create Turnitin enabled assignments, view Turnitin results, and see the student s perspective in Turnitin. Canvas: Assignments and Grading This 1-hour lab provides you with the basic information on how to: create and edit an assignment, navigate and use Gradebook and Speedgrader, comment and give feedback on an assignment. Canvas: Discussion Boards This 1-hour lab provides you with the basic information on how to: create and maintain discussion boards, edit advanced discussion board options, and create and grade a graded discussion.
