The President s Higher Education Community Service Honor Roll This prestigious award recognizes institutions of higher education that support exemplary community service programs and raise the visibility of effective practices in campus community partnerships. The Honor Roll s Presidential Award is the highest federal recognition an institute can receive for its commitment to community, service-learning and civic engagement. Money Best Value Money magazine looked at the nations 1,500 four-year institution and ranked them on 18 factors in three categories, including: educational quality, affordability and alumni earnings. College of Nursing #7 in Producing undergraduate Administration, Nursing Researchers and Clinical Nurses The faculty of the college of Nursing at Prairie View A&M University embraces the university s mission of excellence in education, research and service. The purpose of the college of Nursing is to prepare beginning professionals as nurse generalists (BSN); and graduate prepared nurses with an area of specialization (MSN) and/or a doctoral prepared (DNP) expert clinical practice scholar, all of whom have foundations for continuing personal, professional and educational growth. Perry College of Engineering is made up of six departments: Chemical Engineering, civil engineering, computer science, electrical and computer engineering, engineering technology and mechanical engineering.
