Asociación Nacional de E-learning y Distancia (ANCED) Spain www.anced.es A. Profile of the organisation Business organization, with more than 30 years in the education sector, that brings together centers that provide distance and online learning. The wide range of training is adapted to the needs of workers (continuous training, retraining courses). The association also participates in research and development of new technologies and international research projects. B. Innovation An innovative product today is the one that promotes interactivity and generates customized learning using immersive virtual environments, web and computer simulations based on the method Kolb (learning by doing), which increases the degree of employability. The web has evolved from web 1.0 (get, find) to 2.0 (share and take part in) and nowadays web 3.0 (collaborate and co-create) is rising. Product Name: AVANZA Virtual Tutor Virtual Tutor is a project approved under the Avanza Training Program, funded by the Ministry of Industry, Tourism and Trade and the European Social Fund. This product was jointly developed by ANCED and Research Centre in the implementation of new technologies for training, ITEM Training. It was introduced to the market in 2008. Virtual Tutor is twofold. On the one hand the project aims tele-tutors training in the use and management of Open Source e-learning platform, Moodle. In the other hand, Virtual Tutor is oriented to the International Certification CTP (Certified Training Professional). It is aimed to the training of teachers and experts in the use of the e-learning platform moodle and the implementation of telematic tutoring using a learning platform with online training micro-content based on serious game technology and Web immersive virtual environments. In this serious game the student enters a Virtual Training Centre where he/she can go to different scenarios, interact with characters, use objects, perform tasks and solve problems. 3

AVANZA E-Vendor E-Vendor is a project approved under the Avanza Training Program, funded by the Ministry of Industry, Tourism and Trade and the European Social Fund. This product is being developed jointly by ANCED and Research Centre in the implementation of new technologies for training, ITEM Training. E-Vendor is an initiative for the development of multimedia educational content addressed to get the Professionalism Certificate of Activities of Sale. Like the Virtual Tutor product, it uses a learning platform with online training micro-content based on the serious game technology and Web immersive virtual environments. In this serious game the student enters "The Virtual Trade Training School" where he/she can go to different scenarios, interact with characters, use objects, perform tasks and solve problems. 4

D. Specialisation of the organisation and place in the e-learning market (not using computers or internet connection but using alternative media such as mobile phones, TV etc.) For ANCED the development of the e-learning market is the direct path for the transition from traditional teaching towards a new education closer to students. In this new form of education, the contents are transformed in order to interact with students in various ways. Customization of training is becoming highly important, a teaching which is increasingly directed towards cocreation of learning, that is to say, the same student is the creator of his own learning process. ANCED is today a business organization of reference in the e-learning in Spain. In this sense, it is considered a leader in the development of new products and educational innovations. The new goal now is to develop collaborative training and co-creation, from web 3.0 tools. 5
