JOB TITLE: Deputy Regional Director of Education (South West) SALARY: Negotiable. Dependent on experience LOCATION: Based in one of E-ACT s academies within the South West region but with frequent travel to all academies within your region. REPORTING TO: Regional Director of Education (South West) CONTRACT: 0.4 FTE (2 days per week) JOB PURPOSE: The purpose of this role is to lead the delivery of outstanding education across a number of academies within the region. You ll need to be a high performing, impact driven person with proven results in your field and senior experience within education. You will have an unrelenting focus on making sure that teaching and learning is outstanding within every classroom and an ability to identify need, source support and build capacity within your region to ensure impact on outcomes. Reporting to the Regional Director of Education, this post holder will be accountable for the educational outcomes within their region, and as such will support with the performance and line management of the Headteachers within the region to ensure all attainment and progress objectives are being effectively met. ACCOUNTABILITIES: To support the effective line and performance management of the Headteachers within your region, ensuring that they successfully implement their performance objectives and maintain a central, unrelenting focus on the quality of teaching and learning and outcomes within each academy. To effectively and continuously identify and source a network of Regional System Leaders, ensuring that the region receives appropriate, agile support based on its needs at any one time. This may include whole school System Leaders or subject/ specialist skills System Leaders. To support the RED to oversee the educational recruitment requirements for the region, and to liaise closely with the Regional Director of Operations to ensure that these are met in a timely fashion. To support the effective line manage the network of System Leaders across the network, quality assuring their work and ensuring that they are working to E-ACT s clear objectives of ensuring that every single teacher within their allocated academy delivers consistently good or better lessons. To quality assure and approve all key documentation, including: Academy Self- Evaluation, Academy Improvement Plans, and Curriculum models, ensuring that they adhere to E-ACT s School Improvement Strategy. To be in attendance at and input into all Ofsted, APBD, LA and E-ACT led inspections, providing assurance regarding how academy performance is scrutinised, supported and held to account. To support the RED when holding regular Raising Achievement Boards for the academies within your region, ensuring that each academy within your region and your regional team are held to account on the overall performance of the academy. To hold

some Raising Achievement Boards as required. Central to this will be ensuring that attainment and progress targets are on track throughout the academic year and that school leaders are held to account for quality of education being provided within the academies. To attend half-termly Raising Achievement Board meetings with the Regional Director of Education and Regional Director of Operations, reporting to the Executive Leadership Team and chaired by the Chief Executive. To co-ordinate and lead on termly regional E-ACT inset days, creating an opportunity to bring together all E-ACT teachers within the region to share best practice.
