ELECTION OF VICE PRESIDENT: V. Delegations: VI. VII. Unfinished Business: CORRESPONDENCE (CONSENT CALENDAR): A. Nancy Karavolos, Coordinator of Child Nutrition Program, requests permission to attend the Back to School Training (for child nutrition directors) on Wednesday, August 30, 2017 in Charleston, WV. Also requested is lodging for one night, meals, registration fee of $30 and use of a county vehicle. All expenses to be paid by the Brooke County Board of Education. B. Melissa Figlioli, Director of Special Education, requests permission for the following: 1. Kacy Dean to attend the 2017 New Speech-Language Pathologist Boot Camp on Friday, September 15, 2017 at the Bridgeport Conference Center in Bridgeport, WV. Also requested is use of a county vehicle. The Special Education Summer PD Grants will be used to cover any miscellaneous cost(s). 2. Susie Godwin to attend the 2017 New Special Educator Boot Camp on Friday, August 25, 2017 through Sunday, August 27, 2017 at Canaan Valley Resort in Davis, WV. Also requested is a stipend for two days, meals for three days and use of a county vehicle. The Special Education Summer PD Grants will be used to cover the costs of this training. 3. Stephanie Zimmer, Allisha Curtain, Amanda DiMarzio, Heidi Dawson, Joe Farran, Tracy Welch, Laura Molter and Christine Rush to attend a 3 day mandatory training provided by Dr. Jim Harris and Amy Kelly on September 14 th, October 19 th and November 14 th at the Robert H. Mollohan Research Center in Fairmont, WV. Also requested are 4 substitute teachers for 3 days each, meals and use of two county vehicles. All expenses will be paid out of Special Education Grant for Professional Development.

Rob Robinson, Director of Facilities and Maintenance, requests approval of a change order for Grae- Con Construction in the amount of $9,765 to continue Grae-Con Construction s Builders Risk Insurance throughout the duration of the Brooke Middle School project. B. Approval, upon the Superintendent s recommendation of Use of Facilities, as approved or denied through the office of Rob Robinson, pending proper insurance. C. Approval, upon the Superintendent s recommendation, for Out of Area Attendance Requests, as approved or denied through the office of Stephanie Blundon. D. Approval, upon the Superintendent s recommendation, for payment of the current bills, said bills are available for public review during normal business hours (8:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m.) in the business office. IX. All proposed actions on employment are subject to modifications. The superintendent may make additional personnel recommendations and that list will be available at the meeting. Toni A.
