Use and Potential of ICT on Education 1. ICT as main content : Teacher training package (training teacher to use ICT) 2. ICT as part of content or methods : SMS via mobile phone, PDA 3. ICT as core delivery tools : mobile learning, web based instruction, SchoolNet, Satellite TV/radio 4. ICT as facilitating or networking technology : learning resources web portals, online learning communities, CyberHome Learning (Korea public service for tutor students)

Considerations Keep the technology simple, relevant and local. Build on what is there (and being used). Involve users in the design Strengthen capacity to use, work with and develop effective ICTs. Introduce greater monitoring and evaluation, particularly participatory approaches. Include communication strategies in the design of ICT projects. Continue to research and share learning about what works, and what fails. Improving Health, Connecting People: The Role of ICT in the Health Sector in Developing Countries, 2006, infodev.org
