UL LAFAYETTE - L S U E C O U R S E E V A L U A T I O N I N D E X 2011-2012 YEAR NOTE: The equivalencies contained in this index represent the best efforts of the two institutions to establish "course content equivalency." Students should note that UL Lafayette limits to 62 credit hours (or 50% of degree total) the number of transfer credits from a community or junior college that can be applied to a baccalaureate degree. Students should be aware also that there are problems in some instances in establishing "level equivalency," particularly in view of the UL LAFAYETTE graduation requirement of a minimum of 45 semester hours in junior- and senior-level courses as well as requirements of some accrediting agencies. For an * by a 300 or 400 level UL LAFAYETTE course, please note the following: All students are required to complete at least 45 semester hours in advanced level courses, i.e., 300-400 level. UL LAFAYETTE will recognize course credits from regionally accredited two/four-year institutions at the level at which they were taught at the credit-granting institution. In the case of course-level differences between two and four-year institutions, UL LAFAYETTE accepts those listed in this document as equivalent (the student does not have to repeat the content), but UL LAFAYETTE does not count these credits as part of the 45 hour upper-level requirement in all degrees. Note: The Dean may substitute up to six semester hours of transfer credit at the lower level for six semester hours of advanced level credits in fulfilling the 45 hour requirement. Carolyn Bruder, Interim Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs William J. Nunez III Chancellor
