School Information Bulletin Warm Greetings from the Principal Ms Grace Tan Dear Parents/Guardians, Welcome back to School! 2016 had been an exciting year for CCPS where we celebrated our 75 th Anniversary on 23 August with the Eduplex. Ms Low Yen Ling, Parliamentary Secretary, Ministry of Education and Ministry of Trade and Industry, Mayor South West CDC, who is also our ex-ccps pupil, officially re-opened CCPS new upgraded building and launched the new eduplex logo. The year s celebration ended on a high note with our anniversary carnival, a collaboration between the school and CCPS PSG. The carnival was a fun-filled day where pupils, parents, staff and alumni bonded and had fun together. The P6 pupils and pupils from the CCA set up games stall for the VIA project and together with the PSG who ran Charity food stalls had raised a total $3,379 for the Canossian Daughters of Charity. Thank you to all for your support and generosity. We are also pleased to announce the following results for PSLE 2016 CCPS Overall Passes 99% (Above National Average) Eligibility to Express and 70.6% Express/NA (Above National Average) We have also achieved above national average for quantity and quality passes for most subjects. Congratulations to all our pupils for the excellent results! This is an achievement that is not possible without the committed and caring staff of CCPS and our ever supportive parents. 2017 will continue to be a meaningful and fulfilling year where we continue to strive to develop our pupils in the school values (3Cs) Commitment, Compassion and Cheerfulness. Through our Lifelong Learning Programme, Service Innovation through Design Thinking, pupils are equipped with the skills to empathize and design solutions that will help and benefit others. In order to make it authentic for our pupils, we will continue our partnership with organizations such as Macpherson Community Club. In 2016, the student leaders worked with the residents of the Macpherson Community and developed solutions for their everyday problem using tools they learnt from design thinking. We look forward to continue to work closely with our parents and partners to develop our pupils to become passionate learners and compassionate leaders.
