He is currently employed as a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Economics at the University of Pretoria where he specialises in economic policy research using computable general equilibrium (CGE) modelling methods. Dr. Bohlmann has also been contracted as an economic modelling consultant on various research and training projects in South Africa to clients such as National Treasury, Gauteng Treasury, Eskom and the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research via the University s Department of Research and Innovation Support (DRIS) and Enterprises University of Pretoria (Pty) Ltd. Dr. Bohlmann teaches and coordinates undergraduate macro and microeconomics and postgraduate CGE modelling courses in the Department of Economics, and professional short courses in CGE modelling via Enterprises University of Pretoria (Pty) Ltd.
