Do you want a solid foundation in medical science? Faculty of Medicine, Dentistry and Health Sciences Medical Sciences Major Do you want a solid foundation in medical science? The new Medical Sciences Major will commence in 2017. Units will include back ground information in normal body structure and function, mechanisms of disease from all the pre-clinical scientific disciplines including: Anatomy Physiology Public Health Pharmacology Biochemistry Pathology Microbiology You will be able to take a second major in a related or unrelated area from across the university plus choose a number of broadening units from diverse fields. Pre-requisites: Mathematics Applications (ATAR) or equivalent as recognised by the Faculty. By completing the Medical Sciences Major it is a way of reducing the duration of Medicine, Dentistry and Podiatry by one year.
