UNIVERSITYOF ROME TOR VERGATA MACROAREA of Maths, Physics, and Natural SCIENCES and FACULTY OF MEDICINE NOTIFICATION FOR ADMISSION TO MASTER of PHARMACY (LM-13 DM 270/2004 Pharmacy and Industrial Pharmacy) Academic Year 2014/2015 Article 1 Number of Places available and participation requirements In the University of Rome Tor Vergata it is possible to apply to the Master of Pharmacy, of five years. The admission requirements are based on qualifications and examination. The number of places are 80 (eighty) available to Italian citizens, EU citizens and non-eu citiziens legally living in Italy, in agreement with art 26,of Law n 189/2002; 30 (thirthy) places are reserved to non_eu citizens resident abroad; two of them are reserved to students from the Popular Republic of China according to the programme Marco Polo. Any Italian citizens, EU citizens and non-eu citizens legally living in Italy, can participate to the admission test ONLY if owners of a five years Diploma of Secondary School, issued by any Italian Institutes, or a qualification obtained abroad and valid for the admission to any Italian University. The EU and non-eu citizens, legally living in Italy, in possession of a foreign certificate, will be admitted to the test after the evaluation of the certificate. In case they should be winners, their registration will be subject to the validity of the documents and qualification obtained abroad, see Circular MIUR prot. 1291 of 16/05/2008 and current laws. Non EU students living abroad, will formalize the procedure for the enrolment through the University Foreign Student Office, Via Orazio Raimondo 18, 00173, Rome, Studenti.stranieri@uniroma2.it The number of places is compliant with the Law n 264 of 2 august 1999. The admission test, written and oral, will be held on 15/09/2014 For the admission to the Degree of Pharmacy is necessary to take and pass a specific test, and the evaluation of the qualifications. For the evaluation it is possible to submit: exams already taken in previous academic carrier, certificates of attendance of updating courses, or conferences, publications on topics included in the teaching plan of this Degree. The beginning of the course is scheduled on 14 october 2014 The course is held in the Department of Biology, MacroArea of Sciences, and the lessons in the Building PP1. The official language of the course is English. Attendance at lectures and labs is mandatory. 1
For the registration 1000,00 is expected to be paid as an extraordinary contribution in addition to the fees and ordinary contributions. The extraordinary contribution is due also by students who are eligible winners of the ADISU scholarship for A. Y. 2014/2015. Article2 transfers and transitions The same procedure can be applied to transfer students from another course or University to us. These students, who have previously taken the admission test, if winners, will follow the instruction for enrolment as indicated in point A and B (see attached file 1). Conversely students coming from Biological Science, Chemistry, Medicine and Surgery, Pharmacy who have already acquired credits, will be evaluated by a Didactic Committee who could allow enrolment in the years following the first, without taking admission test. In any case it is compulsory an English interview to ascertain the foreign language level. In order to satisfy this requirement see point C and D (attached file 1). The same criteria can be applied to students already owners of an academic title. Article 3 How to apply and admission test Between 1 July 2014 and 8 September 2014, it is necessary to be admitted, following these instructions: 1) Click on http://delphi.uniroma2.it> Student Area> Admission Test> then fill the application form. 2) Once you have filled the application form (and the space that allows the self-certification of any documents), print out the application with all the data previously entered and the bulletin of 35,00. 3) The bulletin has to be paid in any Unicredit Bank, which will release an AUTH code number. 4) The AUTH number code must be entered again in the university online system to validate the enrolment for the admission test. The application must be kept by the candidate. All-important It is absolute important the online payment validation in order to fulfil the admission procedure. A protocol number will be given to any candidate based on the online validation. Only after taking the admission test the enrolment will be allowed following articles 6 and 7. The fee of 35,00 is not refundable. Article 4 - Committee and Responsible of Competition Procedure The Admission Committee is appointed by the Chancellor on the proposal of the Board of the Faculty of Science, by its own decree. The head of the administrative procedure is Mr Roberto Della Torre, Head of the Student Office of the Faculty of Sciences, on the base of the Article 4 of Law 241/90. 2
Article 5 - Admission, content and evaluation criteria The admission test to the Master of Pharmacy consists of 60 questions (multiple choice), aimed at ascertaining the preparation on the disciplines of secondary schools provided by the curriculum of the Master in Pharmacy; and an oral exam, aimed at verifying the knowledge of the English language. Both tests, written and oral, will be held on 15/09/2014 as follow: The first test (written) at the Department of Biology, Ed PP1, Classroom 8 in the Macro Area of Sciences, Via Ricerca Scientifica n. 1-00133 Rome - at 10.00 a.m. The second test (oral) at the Department of Biology, Ed PP1, Classroom 8 in the Macro Area of Sciences, Via Ricerca Scientifica n. 1-00133 Rome - at 4.00 p.m.. All candidates must be in the Classroom 8 at least one hour before the scheduled test time with a valid identity card or passport to enable the Committee to carry out the preliminary operations. Evaluation: The evaluation will consider the following criteria: 60 points maximum for the written test (1 point for each correct answer, 0 point for each incorrect answer or not answered); 25 points maximum for English language; 15 points maximum for the evaluation of any certificates, already certificated in the application form, to be submitted to the Committee on the day of the test. The final ranking will take into account the marks obtained in the admission tests and the evaluation of the qualifications. In case of same score among candidates, firstly will be considered the highest one achieved in the test, secondly the highest score of High School Certificate Exam. On further equal terms, the youngest one will be the winner. Candidates are not allowed to bring brief cases, mobile phones, calculators and computers, manuscripts, books or publications, in classroom, unless different indication is given by the Admission Committee. Moreover students are not allowed to communicate each other, except with the members of the Admission Committee. With regard to the 30 (thirty) places reserved for non-eu citizens resident abroad, the evaluation process may also be made electronically through Skype contact, if requested by the applicant. In this case, applicants have to notify to the Secretariat of Pharmacy (mefistofele@amm.uniroma2.it) the Skype address and email in order to receive an electronic appointment for evaluation. For all the above mentioned operations, the Committee shall draw up a minute. Article 6 Ranking and registration The ranking list will be published on the University website http://web.uniroma2.it; On the Macro Area of Sciences http://www.scienze.uniroma2.it; On the Master of Science in Pharmacy http://www.farmacia.uniroma2.it by the date of 25 September 2014. The ranking list will indicate the students allowed to enrol. The enrolment must be made between 25 September 2014 and 10 October 2014. Fees Payment deadlines is 10 October 2014 3
Any further admission will not be possible. If someone declines position the following candidate in the ranking list will be called, and eventually a new list will be published. Article 7 - Registration of candidates. The candidates, included in the ranking list, must apply the following procedure by 10 october 2014: A) Online enrolment and payment first deadline Connect to the website of the http://www.uniroma2.it, select the "online services">"online registration" > http://delphi.uniroma2.it > Student Area > "enrolment (voglio immatricolarmi)" > " I have passed the test of access (ho superato il test di accesso)"then follow the procedure for registration > degree courses, undergraduate courses, postgraduate courses, Master ", select the Faculty of Science, >" I want to enrol to a Course subjected to a competition / test " and then proceed with the registration of your personal data. Only after entering the personal data the system will automatically propose the classes to which the student, having passed the related selection, can register. Complete the registration. In the event of a filling error, when the application is printed, it is possible, using the option "Delete the application", to fill it again. It is recommended, in case of refilling the application, to destroy the wrong application; Print the bulletin of the first deadline of payment and the extraordinary contribution. If a student wish to pay a bulletin for annual fee in a unique solution, select the option displayed on the website. This solution is mandatory if the fee of second semester is less than 300. The payment must be made at any UniCredit Bank of Rome using only the bulletin printed. After having paid the first instalment, the student will confirm the payment selecting, http://www.uniroma2.it > http://delphi.uniroma2.it > and inserting the CTRL and AUTH code number, mentioned in the Bank receipt. After entering your payment details you can press the print button and generate a login (number of enrolment) and a password that must be carefully preserved, cause it is necessary for the payment of the second instalment, and for enrolment in the following years and other functions. The extraordinary fee of 1,000.00 must be paid as follow: - 500, first instalment by 10 October 2014-500, balance of second instalment (if applicable). Then the student can pay in: - a unique solution by 31 march 2015 - the balance of the second instalment by 1 June 2015 - If the student is relieved from paying the second fee, the extraordinary balance will be due by 31 march 2015. 4

B) Documents Submission to Student Office Once the payment is confirmed, it is mandatory to submit the following documentation to the Student Office of the Faculty of Sciences - via della Ricerca Scientifica 1-00133 Rome: a) enrolment form (printed at the end of the on-line procedure) to be signed at the time of presentation, and a passport-size photo in the space provided on the application; b) two passport-size photos identical to that in the application; c) a copy of a valid identity card or passport; d) a copy of the receipt of the first instalment; e) receipt attesting registration, where you see "to be delivered to secretariat " All-Important Confirmation of payment and the submission of documents are mandatory for the enrolment. Incomplete applications will not be accepted. DEADLINE OF SECOND INSTALMENT The amounts of the second instalment vary according to the ISEEU (Equivalent Economic Status Index). By 15 march 2015 students can apply to Centri Assistenza Fiscale (Fiscal Assistance Centers), on website ISEEU TOR VERGATA, and claim for assistance. In case of not ISEEU Reporting, the student will pay the highest fee. The second enrolment is due in two solutions: - 50% by 31 March 2015 - the balance by 1 June 2015.
