FACTSHEET BUSINESS EXCELLENCE AWARDS TECHNICAL EXCELLENCE Objectives of the Award To recognise firms which stand out in its commitment to advancing the technical expertise of their firm and industry while adhering to a robust quality assurance and control programme Segments of the Award Large practice (practice with more than 100 staff) Small & medium practice (practice with 100 staff or less) Nomination Criteria Nominators can nominate other accounting firms or their own organisation for the award Any accounting firm registered in Singapore is eligible to be nominated Judging Criteria Criteria 1 Knowledge Management Has the practice maintained an up-to-date repository of technical material that is readily accessible to professional staff? 2 Quality Assurance & Control Has the practice employed sound methodologies when providing professional services? And was there a robust quality assurance and control programme that ensured compliance with standards and regulations whilst still providing high-quality services to clients? 3 Thought Leadership Has the practice contributed to advancing the knowledge-base and capabilities of the sector by sharing practice insights via platforms such as research publications, conferences, and representations on external committees? Judging Process Round 1: All nominees are assessed by an Awards Judging Working Committee and ranked based on the judging criteria. Shortlisted nominees will proceed to the second round of judging 1

FACTSHEET BUSINESS EXCELLENCE AWARDS EXCELLENCE IN PEOPLE DEVELOPMENT Objectives of the Award To recognise firms which stand out in its efforts in championing human capital development Segments of the Award Large practice (practice with more than 100 staff) Small & medium practice (practice with 100 staff or less) Nomination Criteria Nominators can nominate other accounting firms or their own organisation for the award Any accounting firm registered in Singapore is eligible to be nominated Judging Criteria Criteria 1 Continuous Training & Development Has the practice prioritised continuing professional education and ensured that professional staff have been continuously trained and developed? 2 Structured Curriculum Has the practice developed a structured training programme and has the programme demonstrated relevance to staff s job scope? 3 Outcomes & Effectiveness Has the practice s training programme been tracked for its effectiveness? 4 Employee Wellbeing and Career Opportunities Has the practice managed employee welfare and provided ample career development opportunities? Judging Process Round 1: All nominees are assessed by an Awards Judging Working Committee and ranked based on the judging criteria. Judging Process Round 1: All nominees are assessed by an Awards Judging Working Committee and ranked based on the judging criteria. FACTSHEET INDIVIDUAL EXCELLENCE AWARDS YOUNG ACCOUNTANT OF THE YEAR Objectives of the Award To recognise individuals who stand out for their professional qualities, depth of knowledge, and contributions to the organisation, profession and wider community Segments of the Award Accountants in Public Practice Professional Accountants in Business Nomination Criteria Nominees should be below the age of 35 with 10 years or less of accounting / audit experience Nominators can nominate individuals from other organisations, their colleagues, or themselves for the award Any individual in the accounting profession, and employed in an organisation registered in Singapore is eligible to be nominated Judging Criteria Criteria 1 Professional Qualities Has the individual exhibited professionalism and maintained high client service performance standards? Did the individual also possess dedication, initiative, commitment, enthusiasm and displayed good teamwork? 2 Knowledge and Experience Has the individual exhibited sound understanding of all matters relating to his / her areas of expertise? 3 Achievements Has the individual added value to the firm(s) / organisation(s) and made significant contributions to the industry and wider community?
