Version 9.7 BridgeIT Toolbox and Upgrade process Last year the BridgeIT Version 9 Toolbox was released and installed at selected sites. There have been substantial improvements in the Version 9 Toolbox since the initial release. Version 9.7 has been through a thorough testing process and makeover. If you have not seen Version 9 you will be pleased with the new Drill Across functions in Data Sources, enhanced Find options, new Activity Log for security monitoring and a variety of new features. UPGRADE REQUIRED: You will need to upgrade to the new V9.7 BridgeIT Toolbox this summer before coming to Denver. Your BridgeIT Administrator and Toolbox updates are included in your BridgeIT Solutions maintenance contract. The new data mapping and project library installation will be available for BridgeIT Version 9 sites only. There will be a small charge to cover the data mapping and project library installation time. Plan to do your upgrade during July an d August. Minimal downtime will be required. V9.7 orientation training is recommend for those converting from the Version 8 Toolbox. We are confident you will like the new features available in this version. Version 9.7 Toolbox has powerful features. Data to Dashboards We have added several new dashboards to the Project Library. Your office most likely has business rules that are slightly different than your peers. We will spend time reviewing and applying your business rules to the new dashboards. The Financial Dashboard includes YTD numbers for the current year and same period from the prior year. Charges, Payments and averages are included. The Operations Dashboard covers workflow items, checked out visits vs items still in limbo, notes that are not locked, created claims, copays that need to be applied and other items that will help you keep a pulse on the operational management of your site. The Clinical and EMR Alerts dashboards can be used to monitor the adherence to quality of care of standards. Implemented standards from BPHC, NCQA and PCMH. The achievements of an organization are the results of the combined effort of each individual.. Vince Lombardi Best Practices for Data Collection Developing canned reporting content that works for every eclinical- Works implementation is a daunting task. We have developed reports that handle a variety of data collection processes but we cannot handle all of the permutations and combinations of data entry. Paper data collection processes need structure During the three days of training we will emphasize the need for structure and consistency in data entry. We will discuss vitals, labs, OB flowsheets, structured dates and other best practices. We know you cannot control all of the data that flows into your EMR and practice management system but we can help you wrangle the bad data monster with best practice recommendations and data monitoring projects. The BridgeIT Project Wizard and Project Level Alerts are the tools to get a handle on bad data. BridgeIT for eclinicalworks Page 3
