What We Do Fraternities and Sororities are organizations of people who have found a unique bond of friendship within a framework of values and ideals.
Building Community The 35 fraternities and sororities at Missouri State University offer students the opportunity to find their place Fraternity and sorority members make up about 16% of the undergraduate campus population Average GPA is 3.17
Engaging with Springfield During the 2015-2016 academic year, Missouri State fraternities and sororities: Raised $116,896 for local and national philanthropic partners Volunteered 47,370 service hours Donated over 36,000 items to local non-profit organizations, such as canned goods, clothing, and hygiene products
Providing Support Chapters offer mentoring programs within the organization and with alumni Connections to academic resources and other students in your major Academic scholarships are available through Missouri State and inter/national organizations
Developing Leaders Opportunities for leadership positions within the chapter and on governing councils Members attend regional and national conferences to learn about leadership development, chapter management, and to build their professional network We provide ongoing membership development opportunities to learn from nationally recognized speakers on a variety of educational topics

NPHC Membership Intake Membership intake is the process of selecting, educating and initiating new members into a NPHC chapter. This process is prescribed by the national organization. Each chapter conducts intake once every 1-2 years Discretion and professionalism are very important Chapters often require a GPA above 2.5, 12-24 college credit hours, and letters of recommendation Contact the President or Intake Chair directly When a chapter is conducting intake, they will host an informational meeting where you can learn more about their process
