White socks with terracotta and navy stripes Sports shoes OAGS tracksuit jacket Uniform notes Summer uniform must be worn during Terms 1 and 4. The winter uniform must be worn during Terms 2 and 3. Students are not allowed to combine the summer and winter uniform. If the weather is unusually warm or cold, the decision may be made by the Headmaster to allow children to wear Summer or Winter uniform out of the prescribed terms. Makeup No make-up can be worn. Untinted lip balm is permitted. Nail varnish/polish, false nails, gel, acrylic and French nails are not acceptable at school. Hair Hair must always be well groomed, and of a natural colour. Girls Shoulder length hair is to be held back with hair elastics, hair ribbons or headbands in keeping with the colours of the school uniform. Hair that is cut in a radical style is not acceptable. Boys Hair must be off the collar and out of the eyes. Hair that is cut in a radical or extreme hairstyle is not acceptable (Mohawks, etc.). Boys must be clean shaven. Jewellery Girls may choose to wear one pair of earrings to school. Earrings must be either plain gold or silver studs or sleepers. If students have more than one piercing they may use a piercing retainer. Students must be able to remove earrings at the request of any member of staff if they are considered a safety hazard or if involved in practical lessons, PE or sport. Boys are not permitted to wear earrings. Necklaces are not permitted. Gold and silver signet rings are permitted. Shoes Students must wear black polished leather shoes. Years 11 and 12 boys are permitted to wear black polished elastic sided dress boots at the discretion of Head of Welfare, Secondary. Shirt and ties With the exception of the Years 7 to 10 girls winter blouse, shirts must be tucked in and all the buttons done up. The tie should be pulled up to cover the top button. Hat or cap A wide brim hat must be worn during outdoor activities including recess and lunch breaks. In Secondary, a cap may be worn in preference to a wide brim hat during physical activities. Belt A black leather belt is required with the senior boys uniform. Boys in Year 7 to 10 to may choose to wear a belt with their navy shorts or charcoal trousers. Large decorative buckles are not allowed. The buckle should be simple and functional. 4

Senior jersey Senior jerseys can be worn with sports gear. They can also be worn while at school with the formal senior uniform. The jersey is not to be worn to formal school occasions. Blazer Blazers must be worn by secondary students during Chapel and Assembly, on excursions and to all formal events, unless explicitly stated otherwise. They are compulsory in Terms 2 & 3. Underclothes White undershirts may be worn, but must not be seen hanging out of clothing. White or skin coloured bras only. In primary years, students are permitted to wear underclothes in keeping with the school colours (e.g. navy skivvy). Sports uniform Sports uniform may be worn to school on sports days. The OAGS terracotta polo shirt is not required to be tucked in. Sports shoes Sports shoes must be a cross trainer or running shoe with appropriate arch support for physical activities. Casual Clothes Casual clothes must be of a sun safe nature. No tank tops, singlets or thongs are to be worn. Also, there is to be no offensive or inappropriate logos, pictures or slogans on clothing. Bag All students must use the approved. Clothing for Agriculture lessons During Agricultural practical lessons, students are to bring a change of clothes to school. Students must wear weather appropriate boots; long pants and either a short or long sleeve shirt and jumper if required. Refer to casual clothes notes above. Socks Girls must wear navy blue tights in winter. Navy blue knee-high socks are only permitted in the event that students have difficulty navigating the bathroom (generally in early primary). 5
