9 Reasons to choose 1 Quality programs All standard QUTIC English language programs are accredited by the National English Language Training Accreditation Scheme (NEAS). 3 Integral part of QUT QUTIC students can access facilities across all QUT campuses, including libraries, health services, bookshops, sporting fields, a swimming pool, and gymnasiums. 5 Small classes With small class sizes, students have more opportunities for interaction with teachers and other students. Our excellent teaching and learning facilities and individualised support services contribute to the high success rates of our graduates in their preferred university programs. 4 Supportive learning environment The College has Student Welfare Advisers who provide counselling support to all students. Language and Learning Advisers at the College assist students in the University Entry Programs with language and academic skills on an individual and group basis. 6 International experience Each year, the College welcomes a diverse mix of students into its friendly, supportive environment. There are approximately 800 students at the College from more than 45 different countries. 8 Inner city location The International College is located at the Kelvin Grove campus, two kilometres (8 minutes by bus) from the Brisbane city centre. QUTIC students have access to the QUT free bus service which travels between QUT s Gardens Point (city) and Kelvin Grove campuses. 4

Homestay Accommodation QUT homestay provides students with the opportunity to develop their English language skills in an authentic Australian environment. Families QUT homestay families are representative of modern Australian families. Some families have children living with them, others are retired couples, and others may be single parents. Accommodation Students are provided with their own room. Homestay provides three meals per day breakfast, lunch and dinner seven days per week. Placement One or two students can be placed per homestay depending on the wishes of the institution or student. Care All QUT homestay families and their homes meet QUT homestay criteria. Many families have provided homestay for for a number of years and are very familiar with the needs of short-term study tour students. Location Most QUT homestay families are located between 20 and 40 minutes by bus from. 9

As a QUTIC student, I have access to the University facilities, for example, the cafes, libraries and computer rooms so I often meet friends at different places around the campus. Makoto Kumauchi Japan Studying at QUT and living in Brisbane was a really enjoyable experience. My homestay family were kind, and living in this type of accommodation gave me more opportunity to improve my English. Since studying at QUTIC, my listening skills have improved dramatically. 10
