IBS CURRICULUM The two-year fulltime Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM) is aimed at developing outstanding business leaders. The programme is specially designed to provide the latest global management tools and concepts, enabling the students develop essential competencies. The innovative and integrated curriculum provides a strong analytical foundation, encourages the interplay of ideas and their real time application. Emphasis is laid on a judicious blend of theory, internal assignments, term papers and presentations, Global exposure from experts of reputed Industries/Service sectors enable the students transform into a complete management professional. Recognising the fact that management students come from a very wide range of background, the courses in the programme are designed to: Provide orientation in social science as well as in quantitative techniques. Provide basic conceptual and analytical knowledge, and inculcate attitudes and kills necessary for managerial effectiveness. Develop an integrated view of organizational and managerial functions and an understanding of the interdependencies of subsystems, and Create an awareness and understanding of environmental forces influencing managerial behaviour. Develop professional communication kills. The PGDM Programme consists of 44 courses of 3 credits each (3 credits being equivalent to 20 contact classes of 1½ Hrs. each) totaling to 132 credits of contact classes. Each course is completed normally in one single Term spread over about 12 weeks. Each session is normally scheduled three classes a week of 1 ½ hour s duration each. INFRASTRUCTURE IBS campus is located in a pollution free atmosphere, situated on the outskirts of Bhubaneswar city and 7km from the District Headquarter, Khurda. The building is artistically designed for promoting an academic ambience, with adequate ventilation and open places for a perfect blend of artistry and optimal usage of space. ADMISSION PROCEDURE The minimum qualification for the entry of postgraduate programme in management is any Bachelor degree recognized by association of Indian universities with having minimum 50% aggregate marks or equivalent CGPA. All CAT/MAT/XAT/ATMA/Orissa JEE qualified candidates are eligible to apply for this course. Screened and short listed candidates will be invited for Group Discussion and Personal Interview. The final selection of the candidates will be on the following basis: a. Academic records /Work experience, and b. Performance in group discussion and interview. Candidates can collect Application form from Corporate office/institute by paying Rs. 500/- either in cash or a demand draft made on any nationalized bank in favour of Innovation Trust payable at Bhubaneswar. Programme Fee : Registration Fee is Rs. 30,000/- (One time payment) Course Fee for two years - Rs. 3,00,000/- payable in two installments. Hostel Fee: Food & Accommodation is Rs. 3500/- per month Transportation Fee: Rs. 1500/- per month Training & Placements : We at IBS believe to expand horizons of knowledge and learning through training & placement.
