SCHOLARSHIP GUIDELINES & CRITERIA On an annual basis, the Wmen's Auxiliary t AIME (WAAIME) Schlarship fund prvides schlarships t students pursuing degrees in the earth sciences as related t the minerals field. Fields recgnized by WAAIME may include mining, gelgical sciences, metallurgy, petrleum, mineral sciences, materials science and engineering, mining ecnmics, chemical engineering, and ther related studies. The number and amunt f schlarships awarded yearly shall be dictated by the funds available and by the financial needs f the applicants. Students are eligible t receive a maximum f tw years f funding frm WAAIME. The tw years may be tw undergraduate years, tw graduate years, r ne undergraduate year and ne graduate year. Shuld extenuating circumstances ccur, the student s spnsring sectin s schlarship chair may recmmend that the WAAIME Executive Cmmittee apprve a third year f funding fr a student. Students wishing t receive funding must reapply annually. WAAIME Schlarship applicants must be attending accredited clleges r universities within the United States. The list f schls accredited by ABET, the Accreditatin Bard fr Engineering and Technlgy, shall be used as a general guideline. There are n requirements regarding age, sex, citizenship, race r religin. Candidates may first apply in their secnd year f study. Preference will be given first t thse needing aid fr their final year and secndly t thse requiring aid fr their junir year. Undergraduate assistance will have pririty ver graduate wrk. All candidates must be full-time students and must maintain full-time status t receive WAAIME assistance.
