Those who would like to join class with local students need to know enough Thai language Workload Kasetsart University uses the credit system to determine the requirement and progress of the students in each program of studies. Different courses at different levels require different number of credits. One credit equals one weekly hour of lectures and/or a discussion class, or two to three hours weekly of laboratory class per semester. One Academic year categorized as a bi-semester, academic year is divided into 2 regular semesters. Exchange student may consult about workload with advisor for their exchange program. Complete the online application at the link below. https://exam.regis.ku.ac.th/ais/ Please note that applicants must contact the coordinator of their home university to review their application documents and complete the checking list form before uploading application documents to the online system. (Please note the link will be available only during the application period.) We only take application through your institution nomination and we do not accept paper applications. Required Document 1. A scanned copy of your passport (at least 6 months before your passport expires) 2. Curriculum Vitae (CV)/Resume 3. A photo 1.5 (3 x 4 cm.) not older than 6 months 4. Proof of English proficiency (not older than 2 years) 5. A scanned copy of an official consent letter from home institution verifying you as an exchange student 6. Recommendation letter from home institution 7. A motivation letter 8. A scanned copy of the official transcript of your current degree with the degree name and level 9. A Scan copy of original degree certificate and complete transcript of Bachelor s and Master s with authorized English translation (for graduate applicant) 10. A scanned copy of certified scholarship award letter (if applicable) 11. A scanned copy of health and travel insurance card/document (if applicable) Estimate of Living Expenses /Month Dormitories - Approximately 15,000 20,000 THB On campus Dormitories <KRISSANA INTERNATIONAL DORMITORY> There are international dormitories for international students. The rooms are furnished with a bed, a mattress, a pillow (students must bring their own sheets and pillow cases), a wardrobe, a desk and a chair. There is a refrigerator, air
conditioning, washing machines, and Wi-Fi services as well. However, there are a limited number of rooms for international students. Off-campus Dormitories There are various types of accommodation around the campuses. The details can be obtained from the International Studies Center (ISC) at Kaset Klang Campus or the office in each regional campus. Banks, Cafeterias and 7-11 stores are available around the campus. No Exchange students can purchase a local SIM card and prepaid phone cards for air time at any convenience store as well as other retail outlets. There are three mobile phone companies that operate in Thailand: DTAC, True move and AIS. Health insurance Kasetsart University provides an infirmary for students. However, we suggest all exchange students purchase health insurance in Thailand.
